Anto is a passionate hunter and fisherman who spends most of his time in the mountains and valleys surrounding his home town. With access to stunning Rainbow and Brown trout fishing, and a wide variety of big game animals at his doorstep, Anto is constantly putting our gear to the test in the rugged and mountainous alpine country of the deep south. The Tuatara® Camo Alpine range has become Anto’s new favourite weapon of choice.

Master bow hunter, Kadin Willis is out hunting every weekend. He sees it as a way to escape the concrete jungle and be in the ‘zone’ with just nature and his bow. It also provides the opportunity to place food on the table for his family. Since testing out the new Tuatara® Camo patterns, Kadin has been in as close as four yards on Tahr in the Southern Alps. His gear needs to be extremely tough, silent, lightweight and reliable, which is why he chooses Stoney Creek to give him the edge.

When it comes to using technical gear, they don’t come more discerning than Simon. With a science degree background, he has a meticulous eye for detail and demands quality, performance and innovation that gives him the upper hand when out chasing big game with his bow across the country. A Taihape local who grew up with a passion for hunting and fly fishing. The scenery, the bush, the wildlife is what draws him in. Josh’s backyard is the mountainous alpine and bush terrains of the wild west coast of NZ, where durability and technical performance count. Hunting is about testing the mind and body against the elements and the elusive quarry. Born and bred in NZ, Sam’s unquenchable desire to hunt in alpine conditions has him following the seasons between the hemispheres. Alice is the third generation to come through the impressive Muller Station, Marlborough - located at the head of Awatere Valley. Located in one of the most rugged and remote climates New Zealand has to offer, there is no doubt Alice gives our gear a good thrashing. Whether she is mustering with her dogs, trekking horses or scoping out game, Alice loves getting amongst the outdoors no matter what the weather brings. The Women’s Thermolite Jacket has been Alice’s staple, helping her through the blistering cold winter months of the south.

Hunting is in Ella’s blood. As the fourth generation of hunter in her family it’s not surprising that she’s grown up with an unquenchable passion for hunting. Perfecting her stalking techniques throughout the year, Ella eagerly awaits the roar to chase red stags across the country. Fortunate to have grown up in a hunter’s paradise down in the deep South, Kim was introduced to alpine hunting from her brothers and it’s safe to say, she hasn’t looked back. Specialising in bow hunting, Katie thrives off the challenge of getting right up close to her target. Fiordland Wapiti Foundation The Fiordland herd is the only free range Wapiti herd in the Southern Hemisphere. On the 3rd of March 1905, 18 animals were received as a gift to New Zealand from president Theodore Roosevelt. The Wapiti were taken on the government steamer Hinemoa, to the head of George Sound in Fiordland. A harsh environment, greed and interspecies competition over the years all but wiped out the original blood line. In 1993 the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation was formed with the aim to educate and promote public awareness of the herd, removal of red deer / hybrid animals, and also manage the 25 highly coveted balloted hunting blocks.
