Algonquin College is a large college that proudly nurtures a friendly, small-college atmosphere. It is located in the National Capital Region and the beautiful Ottawa Valley with campuses in Ottawa, Perth and Pembroke. THE CHALLENGE The College required a seamless flooring solution to replace their existing vinyl tile solution that would be durable, easy to maintain, wear resistant and would also hold up to heavy foot traffic throughout the stairs and landings. The concern of water getting under the tiles posed a serious trip hazard. THE STONHARD SOLUTION The Stonhard team recommended Stonshield HRI which was installed in the
College stairwells and landings. Stonseal GS7 was also applied to hide any imperfections unlike a high gloss floor. Stonshield HRI is a thick, durable flooring system that is long-lasting, stylized and easy to clean. Stonseal GS7 Sealer is a high performance, urethane coating designed to improve cleanability, increase stain and abrasion resistance as well as provide excellent UV protection.
