For my son - my inspiration - love you forever and for always. ILUT To my illustrator - your generosity will never be forgotten. For my family - thanks for supporting my doodles. To my author - you beat me to the punch!
I wish there were two of me. Let me tell you why.
1
2
If there were two of me I’d get the other me...
To eat my yellow vegetables
and tidy up my toys, 3
To take my bath
and then my nap, 4
and yes, please finish my other chores. 5
6
I’d say, “Now hurry up Other Me, put on your shoes and don’t forget your coat.”
“It’s time for my haircut Other Me, mother has left a note.”
7
8
And while Other Me did all that. I’d play and laugh.
I’d watch some kid TV. 9
10
How marvelous my life will be, if there are two of me.
11
12
But what if Other Me, tells me to get up off the floor...
and eat my yellow vegetables
and tidy up my toys? 13
To take that bath
and then that nap, 14
And oh yes, please finish all the chores! 15
16
Now I know this will not work – if there are just two me’s.
I’ve changed my mind, I’ve got to wish... 17
To wish for three of me! 18
