PARENT COUNCIL NEWSLETTER - MAY 2013
Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day Grandparent's Day was a huge success thanks to the efforts of Meg Moudy, Whitney Musser, and their team of volunteers. Grandparents and Special Friends were delighted with the sights and sounds of their precious grandchildren as they sang, acted, and played the guitar and violins. It was a wonderful time of fellowship for everyone involved, as the Grandparents and Special Friends walked the campus to see their little one's artwork and classrooms. The day will be remembered forever with a special picture which was mailed home to everyone who attended.
Ringing In The Spring Thankfully, the weather cooperated, and Ringing in the Spring was able to go on as planned outside. And what an event it was! Melanie Coleman and Catherine Plato orchestrated a throw-back event in which parents socialized while the kids were entertained by things such as a cupcake walk, a bag toss, sack races, popcorn, and even a dress-up Photo Booth (thanks to Scott and Darla Johnson). Entertainment was provided by members of the 5th and 6th grade cast for "The Wizard of Oz" and the talented musical group "Rain for Roots." Most importantly, Jill and Sean Stroud of Strouds BBQ generously donated the amazing food.
