Holiday Cheer: Mia & Lucia

The signature Mia & Lucia at Allelo St. Pete is often served at the table where it’s poured. Impress your guests by making this version at home.

Mia & Lucia

2 oz. blanco tequila
¾ oz. lime juice
¾ oz. simple syrup (see below)
1 bar spoon caper brine
3 parsley sprigs with stems
1 slice cucumber
2 grinds black pepper

In a tin shaker, muddle parsley, cucumber and black pepper in tequila, make sure to muddle well to extract maximum flavor. Add the rest of the ingredients and shake hard on lots of ice. Double strain (or strain though fine mesh strainer) and pour over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a nasturtium leaf if available or a cucumber slice and parsley sprig.

Simple Syrup

1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup hot water
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
