THE SEAL OF ARCHBISHOP WALDBY, A.D. 1397.
The Seal, which is 21 inches in diameter, has two sides, of which the above is the reverse or counter-seal. The Latin inscription, in Gothic characters, is translated 'The Seal of Robert, Archbishop of York, Primate of England, and Lord of Hexham.'
