OLD PETERITE NEWS OLD PETERITE COMMEMORATION DINNER, 1956 The Old Peterite Dinner was held on Saturday, 28th July. For the first time the Dinner was held in the School dining hall. The innovation was in the nature of an experiment, as, too, was the change from the Friday to the Saturday night. There can be no doubt of the success of these breaks with custom. Over 110 O.P.s were present, the largest gathering, at any rate since the war, and it was generally agreed that the Dinner was one of the most enjoyable in recent years. The toast of "The School" was given by M. E. Kershaw and responded to by the Head Master; the "O.P. Club" was proposed by Mr. D. K. Crews, and D. P. Norwood replied. H. L.
