THE CATHEDRAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM

APPLICATIONS DUE APRIL 10, 2023 FOR THE 2023-2024 ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR

The Cathedral Scholars program has been blessed with growth. We began our mission in 2019 supporting one Cathedral scholar with $5,000 and by 2022 we supported twelve Cathedral scholars attending eleven different universities with more than $70,000 in scholarships. Our prayer is for these numbers to grow again in 2023.

By supporting students who deserve to attend college but need various forms of support, this ministry of the Cathedral is a blessing for the students, their families, and the Cathedral community. The program’s primary objective is to support our scholars both during their time in college and beyond with individual support (phone calls, gift baskets, etc.), group get togethers, references, introductions to professional contacts, and more. We particularly strive to help lower the amount of student debt scholars incur.

We encourage everyone within the Cathedral Community – clergy, members, staff, parochial entities and beyond – to help spread the word about the scholars and help us identify students within the immediate Cathedral community as well as in the broader Atlanta community.
