Pollinator Playground Garden

On Feb. 1, SPX students partnered with St. Rose of Lima Catholic School to plant a Pollinator Playground Garden on the St. Rose campus. With education and guidance provided by the Houston Zoo, our students helped the middle-schoolers prepare an environment-friendly garden that will enhance the grounds for years to come. The goal of this project is to educate the public about the importance of native planting and to promote a love of nature and God in the students and their families. In June, Principals Rachel Ware and Bernadette Drabek ‘82 had a buzz-worthy reunion at St. Rose of Lima Catholic School campus as SPX gifted St. Rose of Lima a commemorative plaque to mark the planting of the garden!
