Table IV FOLIO WINES Liz Sathe 20 Champagne Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve $69.00 $54.00 Charles Heidsieck Champagne is distinguished by the high proportion of reserve wines in the Brut Reserve, 40% of the blend is comprised of reserve wines averaging 10 years old, giving the wine uncommon depth and complexity. Only 60 crus are blended to create Charles Heidsieck, but the three stylistic pillars that give the Brut Reserve its distinct character are Grand Cru Chardonnay from Oger, Grand Cru Pinot Noir from Ambonnay in the Montagne de Reims, and the distinct Pinot Meunier from Verneuil in the Valle de Marn. 21 Dutton Goldfield Rued Vineyard $55.00 $36.00 Chardonnay, Green Valley of Russian River Dutton Goldfield’s mission is to craft world-class wines that express the personalities of their cool-climate home, through a brightness of fruit, complexity and structure. The chardonnays are from the old, cold, dry-farmed vineyards of Green Valley that provide a vibrant citrus core, focused fruit, great richness and solid acidity, even after full barrel and malolactic fermentation. 22 Bruno Giacosa Valmaggiore Nebbiolo d’Alba $47.00 $30.00 One of the legendary winemakers of the world, Bruno Giacosa crafted the most prestigious single-vineyard Barolo and Barbaresco wines during a career that spanned nearly 8 decades. 24 Ricasoli Broglio Chianti Classico Riserva $36.00 $24.00 Ricasoli is documented as the oldest winery in Italy and the fourth oldest family business in the world. Perhaps the most famous historical contribution came from Baron Betino Ricasoli, who was not only twice the Prime Minister of Italy, but after 30 years of experimentation and documentation, developed the original formula for the Chianti wine that became the standard for the region. The 3,000 acre estate includes 580 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards, ranging in altitude from 800 to 1,500 feet. Each plot is harvested and fermented separately with meticulous dedication. 25 Emblem Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley $48.00 $30.00 Emblem Cabernet comes from the Michael Mondavi Family Oso Vineyard. The 95-acre, thirty-year-old vineyard is nestled between Ink Grade and Howell Mountain in northeastern Napa Valley, with stone lined terraces sloping at an elevation of over 1,200 feet.

26 Longboard Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc, $24.00 $14.00 Russian River, California Made in a style that bridges the austere minerality of French Sancerre with the lush fruitiness of New Zealand. A portion of this wine is barrell-fermented and aged, contributing a “brushstroke” of vanilla. 27 Joseph Drouin Chablis, Burgundy, France $26.00 $21.00 Northernmost region of Burgundy, located in a dramatic circle of hills where wines have been planted for hundreds of years. Kimmeridgian limestone contains millions of tiny marine fossils embedded in a kind of whitish mortar which may have once been the bottom of the sea…hundreds of million years ago. This marine origin gives the wines of Chablis their unique flavor.

79 Matthews Claret, $28.00 $22.00 Columbia Valley, Washington 2018 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot. The 2018 Matthews Reserve Claret was crafted from several small vineyard parcels across four AVA’s in Washington: Columbia Valley, Red Mountain, Royal Slope, and Walla Walla Valley. Using only free-run wine, it was then moved to 100% custom French oak barrells for 26 months of cellaring with over 40 individual evaluations by the winemaking team. The resulting 18 barrels were bottled without fining or filtration. Cassis, currants, plum skin, bloomed baking spices with a whiff of dark fruit, graphite and crème brulee. Swirling adds some dried herbs and perfumed sweetness. This wine is dense and opulent with unfolding layers of fruit and spice. The palate is composed with dark smoldering black fruit, black tea and additional lingering spices. The texture and tannins are layered and persistent. As a flagship wine, we are thrilled with this new vintage, as we feel it is one of our finest examples of Reserve Cabernet to date. 80 2020 Borsao Rose $11.99 $9.00 This crisp and lush Rose from the Campo de Borja DO in northeastern Spain is 100% Garnacha. Like its red and white companions, this rose is fermented in stainless steel and sees no oak aging, preserving the vibrantly youthful characteristics of the fruit. The wine has a red luminescent color with warm glows of copper salmon. The nose has a strong aroma of berries and whie flowers. Very young and fresh in the mouth, well balanced with its acidity, rich in floral nuances and spices. Hints of tangerine and Asian pear permeate the vintage. 81 Borsao Tres Picos, Campos de Borja, $19.99 $14.00 Spain 2018 Borsao Tres Picos is the flagship of the winery. The best Garnacha of the Campo di Borja area. It was the first “100% Garnacha” wine produced in Spain back in 2020. The wine is aged for 5 to 6 months in new bordelaise barrels of French oak. Very intense cherry red color with tones of purple. Presents in the nose a great concentration of aromas of ripe red fruit with floral nuances. In the mouth, it is a well structured rich wine that evokes tastes of blackberry, plum and tones of leather and vanilla, with soft and silky tannins. Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala

86 Santa Julia Malbec Reserva,
$21.00 $12.00 Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina 2019 The combination of cool climate, heterogeneous soils, altitudes as high as 1,400 meters above sea level, and a rich tradition of grape cultivation, make this region a unique place for producing wines born at the foot of the Andes Mountains. Part of the wine was aged in French oak for 10 months. The wine is dark violet with blue hues. The nose is exactly what you’d expect from a well-made Malbec - aromas reminiscent of ripe red and black fruits as well as cherries, plums and blackberries. The wine is medium bodied, with soft tannins and balanced acidity. Fruity and spicy finish.
87 Vinum Cellars Petit Sirah “PETS”,
$16.99 $13.00 Clarksburg, California 2018 Our Clarksburg grower Ken Wilson was the first one to take a chance on us, so we decided to dedicate this wine to his dog Tanker who always used to bark at us when we came to the farm. Our description of this wine was a metaphor inspired by the canine “dark colored, long legged and bold”. We feel this wine has the potential to be your best friend. The color of this massive Petit Sirah is deep plum to inky purple. The wine is concentrated with ripe blueberry and boysenberry fruit and elegantly wrapped in a silky vanilla wrapping. The entry of this dense Petite is both tannic and bold while maintaining a juicy, overripe profile displaying ample acidity to balance the tannins and fruit concentration making it multidimensional and food friendly. The finish is so supple and smooth that you will miss it when it is gone. The wine pairs well with Mexican Carnitas tacos (barbecued pork) spiced with cardamom and spicy chiles served with salsa fresca.
88 Famillia Zucardi “Q Cabernet La Consulta,
$21.99 $17.00 Valley de Uco, Mendoza, Argentina 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The launch of Zuccardi Q in 1999 was a great yearning for my dad who did the work in the vineyards started by my grandfather in 1963. Zuccardi Q is special for the family as it was the first wine to bear our name on the label. When we started the project, the best plots of each vineyard were marked with a “Q” for Quality in English, a way that all those who worked the land knew these selections required special attention. Zuccardi Q is a Regional Wine. It is a cut of selected grapes from selected vineyards from the best regions in Mendoza. Each plot is harvested separately and at different times in order to achieve the best varietal expression in each location.
