The Funplex is a tropical-themed amusement park located downtown Myrtle Beach between 14th and 15th avenue on the inland side of Ocean Boulevard. Featuring a walkup bar, restaurant, arcade games, and party rooms for private events, the park’s rides also target a variety of ages and thrill levels.

Begin your day riding the roller coaster that races around the perimeter of the park called “Fun in the Sun.” Climb in the cockpit and soar through the air on “Mach Fun,” the tallest, interactive ride of its kind in North America. Set sail on “Up & Overboard” where you can fly high and swing through the air. Experience weightlessness as you twist, turn up, and back down 65 feet on “Sky Velocity” and don’t forget to catch the 360-degree ocean views before dropping back down to reality. “Sunny Day Swing” is a classic swing ride designed for younger visitors. For the adrenaline junkie, be sure to ride “Hook & Slice” so you can wind, whirl, and catch air as you experience the perfect thrill.

New for 2022, The Funplex added three custom-built carnival-style games, a photo booth, a glow-inthe-dark bubble wand cart, and new menu options at Off-the-Coast Bar and Grill.

After a well-received opening last year, the CEO is excited to provide a fun, family entertainment experience for the entire summer season through October, bringing thrills all day and night to everyone who lives and visits our beautiful coastal area.
