Punto de lectura – Foro Económico Nueva intervención urbana de Colectivo Komite Es la economía financiera, estúpido: La especulación financiera, con sus datos y derivas, protagoniza y decide nuestro futuro; con el fin de evitar contratiempos, las estructuras político-económicas se afanan en “inyectarnos” la idea de que los únicos datos significativos sobre economía son aquellos que nada tienen que ver con la economía real. Un descarado escamoteo que provoca que “cuando accedo a la información que transmiten los grandes canales de comunicación, tengo la constante sensación de que vivo en otra realidad, muy distinta de la allí descrita: una ficción ideal con grandes oportunidades para el desarrollo y el progreso, con paisajes diferentes, con otras reglas, formas de actuar o comportarse; y, sobre todo, con la resignación de pertenecer a mundos distintos, no permeables ni intercambiables y a los que tengo vedado el acceso” nos cuenta uno de los miembros de Colectivo Komite. Pero, y si, en los pulcros y asépticos reportajes sobre economía, sustituyéramos la imagen de una atractiva y bronceada Lagarde por una de las personas que va a soportar las “urgentes medidas de flexibilización económica”, ¿otorgaríamos la misma credibilidad al texto, al autor, a la publicación? ¿Legitimaríamos con la misma facilidad su posicionamiento ideológico? Este es la línea argumental de la nueva intervención de Colectivo Komite. “Punto de Lectura” es una intervención urbana que muestra portadas, programas y dossieres (todos de carácter oficial) en los que se insertan fotografías del proyecto “Gran Vía, 0” del fotógrafo (y miembro del colectivo) Igor Calvo para producir documentos en los que se contrapone la realidad/ficción de la economía. “Punto de Lectura” brinda a l+s ciudadan+s la posibilidad de hacerse con pequeñas lecturas alternativas accesibles en nuestros transbordos cotidianos y en distintos espacios públicos de nuestra ciudad. Reading Point – Economic Forum New Urban Intervention by Komite Collective It’s financial economy, stupid: financial speculation, along with their numbers, data and drifts, plays the lead in our lives and decides our future; in order to avoid any setback, political-economic structures work hard to "inject" us the idea that significant economy has nothing to do with the real economy. A blatant coverup causing that “when I access the information conveyed by the great channels of communication, I’ve got the constant feeling that I live in another reality, very different from the one described there: an ideal fiction with great opportunities for progress and development, with different landscapes, different rules, ways of acting or behaving; and above all, with the resignation of belonging to whole different worlds, not permeable or interchangeable, and to which I have no access at all"; tells us one of the members of Komite Collective.
But, what if, in these delicate and aseptic reports on economics, we would replace the image of an attractive and tanned Lagarde by one of the people who is going to bear the weight of the "latest urgent economic reforms"? Would we grant the same credibility to those authors, texts or publications? Would we legitimate so easily their ideological position? That is the leitmotif of the new urban intervention by Komite Collective. "Reading Point" is an intervention that bring us front pages, covers and dossiers (all of them taken from official and institutional sources) in which photographs of the project "Main Street, 0" (by photographer and member of the collective, Igor Calvo) are inserted to produce documents in which the reality/fiction of the economy is confronted. "Reading point" gives citizens a chance to get manageable alternative readings, easily accessible in our daily transfers and other public spaces in our city.
