It pulses with lifeblood fluid, That twists, turns, through arteries and veins. From the ancient lives like that of a druid, Upon its journey you can place no reins.

Red and raw when exposed to the air, But within its tunnels it’s blue and royal. Feeds the heart with nutrients for power, Keeping us alive and strong like a tower.
Beat, beat, pump with rythym and flow, Sending oxygen to body parts as you go. Walls of muscles, tissue and sinew, Flexible yet strong, so much you show.
Eat well, stay healthy, be wise, For what you eat feeds your heart! Clog its canals with fat and cholesterol, And you from this world, will depart.
