Your RACV Home Security Alarm provides you with a wide range of features to protect your home and family. These features include: Unfortunately, home burglaries are now a reality of everyday life. So it’s a great relief to know that you can rely on RACV Home Security to protect your home and your family. Simple to use Protecting your home using your RACV Home Security Alarm System is easy. When you leave home, you can activate your system at the push of a button, either on your code pad or remote. When returning home all you have to do is enter your 4 digit code or press your remote. You can even program more than one code for different users. It’s your home RACV Home Security Alarm systems have an easy-to-use LCD code pad that allows you to tailor your experience to your style and your home.

An example of security in your home Code Pad Easy-to-use code pad operates your alarm. It also allows you to activate an emergency response.
Sirens Internal or external sirens sound when the alarm is activated. The external siren acts as a strong visual deterrent to would-be intruders.
Reed Switch A magnetic switc senses when a do is opened.
Passive Infra-red Motion Detectors Used to detect movement/ heat changes within their field of view. Advanced technology ensures reliable detection while minimising false alarms.

Control Panel The ‘brains’ of the alarm. It contains a back-up battery to ensure the alarm continues to operate when the power fails.

Additional upgrades
Your RACV Home Security Alarm system comes with three detectors usually placed in high risk areas, such as the lounge, master bedroom and study. Additional detectors can be added to provide increased protection for your home.
Additional upgrades, such as smoke detectors or reed switches, are also available. Our friendly and professional consultants can advise you on the full range of options available to tailor the protection for your home.
Pet tolerant detectors All RACV detectors are pet tolerant as standard. If you have a small pet (under 25kg) then the detectors allow you to arm the house and still keep your pet inside.
RACV Monitoring Relax, you’re in safe hands. When you connect RACV’s 24-hour back-to-base monitoring service to your home security system, you can experience great peace of mind knowing that you have comprehensive home protection. RACV Home Security Monitoring offers you: −− Back-to-base monitoring, 24 hours a day, seven days a week −− A fast response team of security vehicles (separate fee applies) −− A service that is programmed to signal an emergency at the touch of a button −− Protection against alarm tampering −− Optional internal smoke detectors that will report directly to the monitoring station −− Fault detection and reporting −− Notification when a power failure occurs.
