West Property’s second block of apartments, the Millennium Heights Apartment Estate (Block 2), recently unveiled a show unit decorated in a modern and elegant style. The unit stunningly complements the luxury estate, with a homely and comfortable look.
The showhouse kitchen looks spectacular with the shiny white cabinets and the silver sink. The living room incorporates shades of grey and other neutral colours with the couch taking centre stage. The bedroom has white bedcovers and pillows with touches of grey. Curtains in the whole showroom, including the living room and the bedrooms, are grey and white.
The Millennium Heights Apartment Estate have set the trend for Harare and Zimbabwe’s modern lifestyle, on par with European standards. They are an oasis of luxury housing, meeting the needs of a country whose lifestyle tastes are becoming more discerning. This is evident in the interior design of the showhouse and the rest of the apartments that match what the market is looking for – a housing concept built for the high-end market. The one-bedroom apartments have an open plan living area opening out to a balcony or veranda, and a kitchen with space for a scullery and pantry. The bedrooms have access to a balcony or veranda, walk in closet space and bathrooms with provisions for a tub, shower, double sink and water closet. The apartments project a lifestyle that is trendy, simple and sophisticated. Marilyn Mosha - Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at West Property - said about the apartments, “The brief to the designer was to come up with a minimalist and contemporary look and feel. They did a splendid job, creating something refreshing”.
Mosha adds that it was important for the apartments to echo the vision of West Property which is committed to providing high-end accommodation to a growing discerning market segment.
On their website, West Property describes the Millennium Heights Apartment Estate, as “an exclusive up-market lifestyle estate enthused by modern family living in close proximity to superb shopping centres, schools and medical facilities.” The up-market apartment development has backup water supplies and solar power. It is also a safe place that provides peace of mind to residents and is an environmentally friendly accommodation facility; meeting the tastes of an affluent target market who crave a sophisticated lifestyle.
In line with the “vision is to become the leading customer centric developer of exceptional properties in Zimbabwe”, West Property commissioned Erick Kanyongo, founder of EK Concepts, one of Harare’s leading interior décor specialists, to design the rooms of the show unit. Commenting on the interior designs of the showhouse, Kanyongo said, “The concept was to showcase the best possible finish and use of the space. The show house would then provide the clients with a different perspective and insight into how the units could look.
The purpose was to make it easier for clients to get an idea of their dream home, unlocking the full potential of the Millennium Heights apartments, while avoiding the hassles of the tedious decorating processes”.
Kanyongo brought along other design driven players such as LBH Hardware, Tile and Carpet for the tiles and bathroom fittings, Square Kitchens for the kitchen units, televisions, and builtin cupboards, and Elite Interiors for the furniture.
The top-level team helped to create the sophisticated and comfortable interior design work at Millennium Heights Apartment Estate, a testament to a modern lifestyle.
