Hackathon (pre-registration required)
In collaboration with Jhpiego, Sigma is once again offering the opportunity to participate in a hackathon at convention! This
three-hour session is offered to attendees for US $25 when they sign up in advance through registration. Hackathon participants will form groups upon arrival, be given information regarding the topic, collaborate with colleagues to form viable solutions, and wrap up the event with a 3-5-minute pitch to peers and a panel of judges. Judges will determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Hackathon participants will also vote on a People’s Choice Award. Refreshments will be served at this event.
The hackathon will bring nurse leaders together from throughout the world with complementary skills and knowledge to develop innovative solutions to address the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Subsequently, this work may provide the momentum needed to launch a new collaboration, form the basis for a joint funding proposal, and ultimately, a research or evidence-based project with associated dissemination activities (manuscripts, scientific presentations).
