Americans have a deep love for automobiles. There are even designations for the di erently aged models, much like ne wines and cheeses. The classic car moniker applies to vehicles over 20 years old. Antique cars are those over 45 years old, and vintage cars were the ones built between 1919 and 1930. Each group has a mass following of a cionados. The Historic Vehicle Association was founded in 2009 and it is recognized as the North American representative of FIVA (Fédération International des Véhicules Anciens). They have a vehicle register and sponsor numerous events. Likewise, the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA) and the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) hold numerous car shows throughout the country. The Hershey Region Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) holds numerous vintage and classic shows all year long. The events take place in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and the club donates a signi cant portion of proceeds to charity. Vintage and classic cars are admired near and far by over 500,000 people and over 5,000 cars. Drag races, trailer revival, and shine competitions are some of the events featured. Iola, Wisconsin is home to the famous Iola Classic Car Show. Entering its 48th year, there is free admission for all pre-1942 vehicles on 300 acres of land and no shortage of cars to admire or bid on for purchase. The crowd embraces theme show cars, such as the ’70s, and welcomes hobbyists of all categories such as old cars, young drivers. If you ever nd your way to Charlotte, North Carolina, the Charlotte Auto Fair has been an a liate of the AACA for 35 years. Twice a year, they hold an event on the Charlotte Motor Speedway that attracts over 150,000 people. In addition to the many cars to admire, owners know they can obtain many hard to nd parts and accessories for their vehicles at the vendor ea market.
