Possible difficulties in the future:

One of the possible problem is that the number of flights at Adelaide Airport will increase in the future. Emerging international airlines such as Qatar Airways are driving the airport's growing traffic, which will accelerate further(according to a report by AECOM, a consultancy). The report points out that in the next 20 years, the air traffic around the airport will increase by "more than 60 percent", which is the same as that of other major airports in Australia.

Therefore, the idea of only relying on plants to reduce airport noise cannot cope with the future noise crisis. People need to further find effective methods to reduce airport noise (such as installing double glazing and other noise reduction measures). There is a long way to go to solve the problem of airport noise.
