CITY OF EMBER (PG) Directed by: Gil Kenan Starring: Bill Murray, Tim Robbins, Saoirse Ronan City of Ember is a movie I fear is destined to do well. The film is based on the series of books by Jeanne DuPrau. The design of the film is great, but as in design, the beauty is found in the details. I believe that the greatest details of the book are missing, missing, hidden away like the people of Ember. I would not recommend this movie to anyone who has read the books - you will be DISAPPOINTED! DEATH RACE (15) Directed by: Paul W.S. Anderson Starring: Jason Statham, Joan Allen, Tyrese Gibson I am quite a big fan of Jason Statham movies but the concept of this movie hadn't really made me too excited to see it. Nevertheless this is a great movie; the humor is spot on throughout the movie, though this is definitely no comedy. The action is fast paced aced throughout and they come up with some pretty creative ways for characters to get killed. I found the story obviously and a bit implausible with it being people racing in a prison, but that didn't ruin the movie at all and I ended up liking the storyline. I consider this a must watch film for those who love action. HOW TO LOSE FRIENDS AND ALIENATE PEOPLE (15) Directed by: Robert B. Weide Starring: Peter Straughan, Toby Young, Simon Pegg Not only is it not funny but the script and slapstick are juvenile and at times crude. The language and sexual content used in the film is also excessive. A stripping transsexual in front of two children is not a ffunny scene. Finally if you know anyone who loves this film avoid them they would scare me.

MAMMA MIA! (PG) Directed by: Phyllida Lloyd Starring: Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth After watching the Mamma Mia! Musical, I was thrilled to hear about the movie coming out. Meryl Streep in a musical seemed like just one reason to watch it. The movie definitely met all my expectations. The beautiful scenery, the cast and the songs. Good mixtures of tears, laughter and love that will make you feel like you're a part of the gang and enjoy every bit of this movie. It really is a feel-good movie and it made me want to stand up and sing along. The singing and the dancing put smiles on people's faces, and it makes you feel happy and as if all worries are gone. You will certainly smile during the entire movie.

Directed by: Alexandre Aja Starring: Kiefer Sutherland, Paula Patton, Cameron Boyce Directed by French horror director Alexandre Aja, the same man behind “The Hills Have Eyes”, Mirrors is a remake of a Korean horror film, as well as the best wide-release horror film of the year thus far. However it is really far away from been perfect. The movie has some really, really scary parts....all of it is scary until they explain why everything's happening. Then you're just left there thinking, "Well, that's not that scary anymore." But do go and watch it for yourself and you might end up liking it very much
NIGHTS IN RODANTHE (PG) Directed by: George C. Wolfe Starring: Diane Lane, Richard Gere, James Franco This film brings two talented actors in Diane Lane and Richard Gere back to the screen in a simply beautiful story of a man and a woman hungry for something more in their lives than they have at present. The chemistry between Lane and Gere is magical from the first scene in the film to their last embrace. Stunning locations and the beauty of character’s attraction for one another make up a great deal of romance within the film. However, I still think the book was much better.

RIGHTEOUS KILL (15) Directed by: John Avnet Starring: Russell Gewirtz, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro Most people are anxious to see this film because it’s been 13 years since the two screen legends have appeared in the same movie. Without a doubt, the film's best element is the acting. There's not a weak performance in the bunch. However I cannot say the same about the story, I personally found the story line been very weak. What this film does have is lots of drama, a good amount of comic relief, a fair share of action, and other elements that make a good movie. However it is far away from been classic as you would expect it to be. TAKEN (15) Directed by: Pierre Morel
Starring: Luc Besson, Robert Mark Kamen, Liam Neeson Seen this movie and you'll understand how and why horrible things are present in today’s world. Action is always there and the 93 minutes seems too short. The scenario is well done even if you feel from the beginning that Liam will save his daughter. Such kind of situation is hidden to the people majority. This movie is an excellent message and lets you think deeply afterwards. All actors were excellent and are also persuasive to show the real personality of the role. Meanwhile, I was a little bit disappointed how easy Liam escaped when he was caught before the end of the movie.
TROPIC THUNDER (15) Directed by: Ben Stiller Starring: Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr. This movie is hilarious! If you have seen the kind of movies Ben Stiller and Jack Black are in, then you know that the humor is quite fast and sometimes very crude. This movie meant to target a specific audience and bring humor and happiness. The movie is not made out of malice, no one said "Let's make fun of Asians and Retards," and then popped out "Tropic of Thunder."
