About Student Hubs catalyses student involvement with social and environmental challenges. We inspire students to shape a better world, connect them to opportunities to make a difference during their time at university and support them to become civic leaders in their future lives and careers. We are not defined by a single cause, but by our purpose to support more students to discover theirs. We are passionate about working with partners in the not-for-profit sector and beyond in order to open up more opportunities for students to create social change sustainably and effectively. This document outlines how we can support you - bringing together opportunities for advertising, blogging, event and campaign support, recruitment, training, consultancy and more. If you have any questions about working with us, or would like to discuss any of the opportunities outlined in this document, please get in touch with services@studenthubs.org.
Publicity & advertising Increase awareness of your organisation, opportunities or events amongst our network of 25,000 students.
E-newsletters Our newsletters reach the students and graduates most interested in creating social change. Whether they are seeking inspiring events or volunteering opportunities, taking the lead as campaigners and social entrepreneurs or looking for opportunities in international development, the environment, non-profit jobs or internships, our newsletters connect the most committed students with the causes they care most about. Our newsletters typically achieve a 15-20% click rate, regularly surpassing the industry standard.
g Advertising rates for partner organisations Please note that we normally charge external organisations to advertise in our newsletters - this helps us to keep the service free for student charity groups.
If you choose to advertise through our newsletters, we will also promote you on our websites and social media free of charge.

Creating your advert
If you would like to publicise your opportunity with Student Hubs, you will need to send us a ~50 word blurb, your website URL and a logo or image, along with information about which e- newsletters you would like to use to publicise your opportunities. We will then invoice you for this service and you can pay the fee by cheque or bank transfer. Please send your advert to services@studenthubs.org and get in touch if you have any questions.
Blog Our blog informs and inspires our national community of students about the causes they are most interested in. A sponsored blog on the Student Hubs website can educate people about your cause, and raise the profile of what your organisation is doing in aid of it. Most importantly, it can empower students to take action for your cause too, by signposting ways to get involved with your organisation’s activities. Guidelines for writing and formatting your sponsored blog post are available on request. The price of a blog post is dependent on your organisation’s annual turnover; please email services@studenthubs.org for more details. Acceptance of blog posts is at Student Hubs’ discretion.
Get involved with ou Enhance your organisation’s profile amongst students by speaking at one of over 200 events and conferences every year. We coordinate student-led conferences and events on international development, environment and sustainability, social enterprise, volunteering and social impact careers. These include our annual flagship conferences: Emerge (social enterprise), Impact (youth volunteering), the Oxford Forum for International Development (OxFID) and the London Climate Forum, along with many others.
Speak at a conference
Our conferences empower student leaders to inspire their peers to shape a better world - introducing them to world class speakers from high-profile organisations across the charity, social enterprise, private and public sectors. You could raise the profile of your organisation free of charge by speaking at one of our conferences about your area of expertise, and how it relates to the social and environmental challenges under discussion. If you are interested in speaking at one of our conferences, please contact services@studenthubs.org.

Training, talks and pre
esentations Take advantage of our expertise for your training or events. The staff team at Student Hubs have a wealth of experience in tackling social and environmental challenges. We have trained over 3000 students and delivered training packages for partners including Northampton University and Imperial College London. Host an intern Work with highly motivated students ambitious for a career in the non-profit sector. The Social Impact Internship Scheme selects over 100 exceptional students from our network each year, and matches them with non-profit organisations that would like to benefit from their skills and enthusiasm. Hosting an intern is a great way to connect with highly motivated students; several alumni of the scheme have gone on to volunteer or work for their host organisation after their placement. Previous hosts include Eradicating Ecocide, the Hackney Pirates, Student Minds, Aegis and Alzheimer’s Research UK. “Student Hubs did a fantastic job of matching us with a hardworking intern, passionate about working for a good cause, and who was an invaluable addition to the team.” Eradicating Ecocide
Training programme
We provide a full programme of training for successful interns during their placement with their host organisation: covering fundraising, communication, project management and working in a team, among others - drawing on the expertise of our own staff and other organisations in the non-profit sector. The training programme that we offer Social Impact interns is also open to young people outside of the scheme. Get in touch if you would like to give your interns or volunteers access to this training and development opportunity.

Student Minds is a mental health charity devoted to supporting students. When they identified a need to improve their visual identity, they approached the Student Hubs communications team thanks to our expertise in this area. We offered them a consultancy project lasting 4 weeks, which involved developing a whole new visual identity. The project was delivered on time and to budget, with positive feedback from stakeholders at all levels.
