When you’re confined indoors for months at a time, having a little flora around can make you feel more connected to the outdoors.
As quarantined homeowners filled their abodes with plant life during the pandemic, a growing appreciation for aloe vera blossomed, according to Flowercard, a floral greeting card company.
In 2020, aloe vera topped Flowercard’s list of most popular houseplants, followed by lavender, snake plant, peace lily and money tree. All five of the crème de la crème are lowmaintenance varieties, excellent for amateur green thumbs.
