THE BEGINNING It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I present to you the first edition of the “STUDIOKLM ADVENT CALENDAR”. The studioklm team wants to give visibility to the artists we believed in and could meet. We want to thank and congratulate the 14 artists, architecture studios, architects designers who give their participation to the advent calendar. Without them, without you we do not exist. We wanted first publish this issue in march, but we preferred giving us more time in order to do it well. The adventure of Studioklm is only at the beginning. On six month we have reached 5k followers and we wish during this year to continue to develop with you. It has been six months since the Advent calendar was over and we have already seen some of you take a considerable leap, assert yourself as an architect, artist, and designer and we are really proud. We hope that you will enjoy this issue,

Enrico Capanni is a 23 years old architecture student in Florence where his passion for architecture and visualization was born. He creates ARC and his Instagram account in July 2017. Instagram is like a diary where he can express himself and share with anyone who love architecture. Drawing -on paper or digital- is for him the best way to communicate ideas in Architecture, as like as masters were thinking in their time: Franco Purini, Aldo Rossi, Louis Kahn. He develop his compositional process with the desire to communicate a feeling, the space and the shape of project through an emotion. Transposing roman’s architectural elements in a contemporary shape.

BAMBINA ATELIER @Bambinaatelier
Melissa Thomas is a 21 years old spatial design student - scenography, interior architecture and architecture - in Lyon, France. She has been making architectural images for several years but it’s last spring in Rome during an internship that she found her own style with collage. Then she starts to create images which come directly from her mind without a real project. The subjects are often related to her travels and especially la méditerranée - the sea between Europe and Africa-. At the end of October she decided to go further and open a online shop in order to share her works you can find it at www.bambinaatelier.etsy.com

BEANIE ATELIER (B/Atlr) @Beanieatelier
The project ‘beanieatelier’ is run by an architecture student who does not want to show his identity for now. B/Atlr opened in November 2018 only on Instagram. B/Atlr is open to any kind of commission related with the creation of graphic contents. The project B/Atlr was born with the aim of publishing and sharing idea for architectural and graphical representations. B/Atlr wants to show different way to represent the architectural subject. All images posted are linked together by a common feature: the ‘hipster’ character. B/Atlr dos not want to relate with the photorealistic architectural visualization but with the visualization of the fantastic. All the contents are created and edited by B/Atlr.

Charlie Silvan is a 24 years old architecture student. He really moves to travel and always want to restitute all the feeling and emotions with various techniques - photography, collage, aquarelle-. His feed is composed of his architecture and graphic inspirations, his architectural work with some fabulous collaborations and various experimentation. Bastien Cochon is an analog collagist. He comes from north of France and lives in Paris since 10 years. Collage identity account was created in January 2017. Bastien discovers the analog collage by chance. He begin with sharing aquarelle on instagram and he use the #collage. He literally fell in love with it. He was amazed by all possibilities he had by assembling several sheet of paper. Fascinated since always by portrait in photography he starts to use them in his work. He really loves mix human, faces and bodies with pieces of architectures, flowers in order to create his own portrait.

IVOIRE Experimentation of color in order to discover and go a step further. After numerous realizations with a black background, Collage Identity exchanges for the night blue, the ivory and textured background. SUBTLETY AND POETRY Collage Identity compose his paintings like a bouquet with a lot of poetry. Using his precision scalpel, collage identity captivates us by giving life back to his portraits related to nature. These portraits with floral themes are associated to powerful background it is only magnificence. Turkan Dagli was born in Germany and founded Dagli atelier d’architecture in Luxembourg in 2005. Now the studio is composed by 10 young and dynamic architects. Dagli’s design starts with a philosophical research/ approach on the expressin of the concept. So i’ts crucial to keep that open mindned attitude which rejuvenates the architect and move within th “Zeitgeist”. they gradually refine the concept, they work with sketches and 3D print models, then they work on artistic illustrations of projects, inspired by historical allusion or collages from 70s. Social media is important for them because they have known so many interesting people through Instagram which they otherwise would have missed.

Kassim is a graphic designer and architecture student in Paris. He lived for one year in Valencia were he exposed for the first time. His nickname comes from the Japanese suffix “-kun”. It’s a way of saying that he positions himself equal to the one who looks at his works. He starts collages by collecting images -in advertisements old magazines, on the Internet- and literally exchanging the functions breaking the codes and challenging the spectator. Open-minded and aware that every artistic universe can nourish his inspiration he does not hesitate to collaborate with photographers, singers, designers or every kind of artists.

OBJECTS AND THINGS Like the surrealist before him Kún 君 wonders about to objects, things and their functions. It is a way of wondering about the time that passes and the speed at which technologies develop. EQUIVALENCES The motto of Kún 君 is to found and reveal equivalences between things and make people travel. Everything has its equivalence, large or small scale, each over another has its influence. These links have to do with subjectivity and abstractive sensitivity. The artwork of Kún 君 wants to reveal this links on concrete images. For him, the trip is not (only) to open up to others but also to discover other distant lands, other cultures. Travel can not only be a physical journey, it can be as abstract as dreams, music, fashion, or even art and architecture. Poetry can also be sentimental and melancholy. Lisa Keiffer is a multidisciplinary graphic designer born and raised in Luxembourg with educational and professional experiences in Brussels, London, Madrid, and Hamburg. She is currently exploring New York to found new inspirations and prepare her future projects. Lisa has many talent and cover a various range of jobs -art direction, branding and identity, packaging design, editorial and artistic projects- that’s why she decided to work has an independent since February 2018. ClĂŠment Poumirau is a 23 years old architecture student but above all a dreamer. He is from Castres -south of France and study in Saint-Etienne. He draw since his childhood and is a self-taught artist and know his purpose is to professionalize his activity. His main inspirations are films, tv shows, comics like Tintin, or mangas - Naruto, One Piece or Bleach and more recently Lastman-. The most important for him is create singular atmospheres and characters in order to make people dive easily into works. He principally consider himself as a 2D digital artist but he intent to stay also traditional artist.

Nicolas Deniel Luque is a motivated young architect. He graduated from a major school of Design and has just graduated as an architect. Nicolas didn’t wanted to work for somebody all his life, that is why for years now, he has created NDL Architecture. This project begin because of the profession of architect. The Google app Street View allows an approach to the sites of projects that are being done and the daily use of this tool made him explore the world and where the tool already got to go. Nomad Blocks is a hobby. When he have the tie and the creativity to do it. These nomadic elements where the way he found almost unconsciously from his creative process never stop. The bas of the nomad blocks works are always the pictures and trip in StreetView ans the mix with draws or collages. Some more irregular shapes he draws on paper and then edit, define areas, add textures, testing sizes etc. The difficulty is to stop !

Object-e architecture is a platform that explores new territories in architectural design. The aim of the activities in which it takes part, is the constant invention of processes and strategies that will allow architectural creation to be in continuous transformation. Object- e engages design at its various scales, trying to graft together the technological, social, political and ecological issues that architecture is facing today. Object-e operates in architecture and design in three different - but always connected- levels: through specific design projects or competitions. Through experimental research projects that are aiming to extend our understanding of space, digital media ans fabrication through teaching; either in established institutions or independently, the sharing of knowledge is always the core that allow the rest to happen.
