Aligned Chiropractic & Wellness We met with Aligned just about 4 months after they moved into their new location! Talk about good timing. Dr. Maria Miaritis and Sue Willman decided to open a practice together and, by the time we started talking, had already raised the idea to start utilizing tools that can enhance their business image – like a website. Our first sit-down involved an observation of the office interior – the colors, design elements, furniture, etc., and a feel for the company personality. This meant taking notes on what we saw, what we heard (what they said), and what we experienced/felt upon our first contact with their company (be it by our entering the office, reading information on Aligned, or talking with them one-on-one). Once we had a good understanding of what the Aligned company image was AND what they wanted it to be, we put together a sample site that, in essence, was a visual representation of everything we experienced and discussed. We must have taken good notes because they liked the first sample we showed them. With a few minor adjustments we were on path to producing the final look and feel. We’re glad to have provided Aligned with a beautiful website and continue to maintain their online presence. We look forward to their continued growth and success. alignedchiro.com

Romar Stone Carving, Inc. From humble beginnings, fueled primarily on inspiration, Romar, led by brothers Marcel and Eugen Lupas, has grown to inhabit its own production and fabrication facility, with state-of-theart technology, and has developed relationships with leading builders & architects throughout North America. But things were quite different when they first began about 5 years ago. Marcel was able to pick up good residential projects but the volume wasn't large. Once he started making the right connections, things picked up. With a spot picked out for the shop and some new equipment purchases, they were in a more stable position, and were now looking to grow. It was near the beginning of '08 that Romar Stone and Kovacs Creative connected. The goal was straight forward: establish a uniform identity and conduct more effective marketing. We first developed a website that could clearly present the company culture and the beautiful work they do. We then put together several different marketing folders and assisted with creating effective email messages for various prospects/clients. Currently, we continue to assist Romar with research and business development activities, especially in new markets and are handling much of their visual & written communications including marketing folders, business card design, website maintenance, info sheets, and more. romarstone.com

AleluiaBrass Ensemble AleluiaBrass is the brass band ensemble of the Aleluia Romanian Pentecostal Church of God, located in Dearborn Heights, MI. They are a diverse group of nearly 100 young men, women teenagers, and children dedicated to praising the name of the Lord, bringing meaningful and exciting Christian, Spirit-led music to people across the world. Founded in the early 1980's, AleluiaBrass is made up of trumpets, clarinets, flutes, baritones & euphoniums, bass, trombones and a percussion section. The group's members, led by Music Director Adrian Tirla, are dedicated musicians of all ages & backgrounds. In brief, AleluiaBrass needed a site that they could use to post news & updates, upload drills & musical parts, share pictures, and inform anyone interested on who they are, what they do, and how to stay connected. We delivered just that. The site’s look & feel uses warm tones and a fabric background to provide visitors with a warm welcome. We’ve even set them up with their own facebook page that they can use to post pictures, videos, and stay connected with people throughout the world. Today, we continue to maintain the AleluiaBrass site, and are responsible for meeting a majority of their marketing/information needs including flyer design, point-of-purchase displays, slideshow presentations, and more. robrass.com

New Era Construction, Inc. New Era specializes in roofing, siding, additions, windows, and custom homes. They have a combined experience of over 35 years in the construction industry with many satisfied customers. They are fully licensed and insured in the state of Michigan and have a diverse portfolio. When we first teamed up with New Era, their owner, Frank Forgaciu, shared his plans to not only diversify the business but develop a more professional image. Since they were no longer beginners in the industry, Frank wanted to portray a friendly, yet corporate-type image, showing customers that they can handle a variety of projects, small or large. After several sit-downs we were able to develop a new theme to the website and created a completely new logo. They were pleased. We continued to define their new identity by incorporating design elements relevant to their field of work (construction). This added a nice touch to their website and provided for more user-friendly navigation. New Era is currently undergoing a new business development phase for their windows division. We continue to support them with the website, marketing material, advertising, business leads, and networking. newera-inc.com

Rivna Rivna (translated “zeal” in English) is a worship group located in Michigan, led by guitarist & lead vocals Lemuel Buia. Rivna has been around for over 10 years and are well known among the Romanian community, especially the teen crowd. Although Rivna had a website (when we started talking about a website project), they were due for a revision. Many things changed since they first started out. They were no longer young teens making noise in the garage. They developed & matured in all aspects – musically, spiritually, etc. They had a unique sound, several original songs, had visited many places throughout the country, and came out with a few albums. It was time to re-connect with their audience. As usual, our first step was to determine the group’s style and put together several sample sites using various texture elements, fonts, colors, and a new logo. After their final decision regarding the site design, we were prepared to add our final touches. Rivna continues to remain active and is ready to launch a new album. We stay connected with them on a regular basis and make changes to the site, as needed. We have plans to design tshirts, info pamphlets, CD covers and more. Stay posted. rivna.com

CB’s Café & Grill CB’s first started out as a simple ice cream shop. The owner and co-founder had taken over ownership from his brother who operated a retail communications store right next door. Despite the fast-paced, always something new world of serving ice cream, he wanted to do something different. Something better. He decided to partner with us (Kovacs Creative Agency). Having worked together in the past, he knew the design, marketing and customer service talent that we can deliver. The invitation was welcomed and soon after a plan was put in place to: establish an identity, get an online presence, and change the interior design. What started out as a simple thought to serve people good food in a good atmosphere, turned out to be a reality. As the months passed, we began making many changes and developing a new "look and feel" to the place. The name changed, the logo and identity were revised, and we completely re-designed their interior. Among other things on the new menu, they added home-made sandwiches and started serving hot soups and chili. Soon, customers who had visited them before started asking: "Has this place been here before?", "Is this place new?" Today, people can come in, order whatever they need, and simply relax. It might be a smaller space, but it's personalized. It kind of feels like home. Theirs light music in the background, warm lighting, comfortable seating and a friendly staff who is not just interested in taking your order. Whether it's a long lunch with an old friend, a carry-out for the kids, a smoothie for a hot day, or work that needs to get done for school, they are here to serve. We’re glad we were able to help. mycbgrill.com
