Jonathan Amar Born in Rabat in 1955 and raised in France from an early age, Jonathan Amar is one of the first designers to export artisanal Moroccan know-how abroad. His eclectic bringing up, from both shores of the Mediterranean, the teaching he acquired during his travels around the world, make him without a doubt one of the most unusual designers-creators of his generation. He is behind the New Age and Ethno-Chic Baroque movements or the art of blending the world's cultures, creating places where exceptional decoration is an essential element.

Craftsmanship Handcrafted between France, Portugal and Morocco with exclusive resources, Flow honors the relationship between meticulous workmanship and quality materials through the finishes and fixtures of each creation. Due to the handmade nature each piece is unique and might vary slightly in finish.

Materials Brass The central element of each creation, is available in an array of finishes: nickel plated, polished, varnished or aged. The finish you select and the way you care for your Flow throughout the years results in one of a kind pieces.
Leather Certain lamp stems are sheathed in hand-stitched leather by artisan saddlers.
Marble Italian Carrara, Portuguese white or grey Estremoz, Moroccan Black Azilal.
Lampshade Fabric, silk, hand-made wicker from Salé and openwork brass shades from Fez.

The DE.LIGHT is a solid brass double wall light with a leather sheathed stem detail. The main structure tops an opal glass diffuser or a cylinder fabric shade and the directional stem features a conic shade mounted with a moveable joint. Perfect as a bedside reading lamp or to illuminate wall art.

BAYT DAKIRA LIGHTING DESIGN / FURNITURE DESIGN / INTERIOR DESIGN
The “House of Memory”, inaugurated in 2020 in Essaouira, is dedicated to the historic coexistence of its Jewish and Muslim communities. Jonathan focused on connecting the space with the historical city: the colour white represents Essaouira, brass velvet and walnut are references of Morocco's traditional craftst. The lights are inspired by scared sites.
