SUMMARY/// Two years ... this portfolio contains some of my works made during the past two years. IKEA, the 70’s estate of “Beaugrenelle” in Paris, differents places and programs, but a constanst thought: try to find out what are the ways to use architecture to make things evolving. The question of the meaning of the act of changing something is a background for all these tries
IKEA-L채nd///Last year school project 2008 Commercial architecture is not really taught in the french schools of architecture. The purpose of this studio was to pick up a brand, to analyse how architecture impacts the brand strategy and to improve it. I worked on the swedish furniture brand IKEA, and tried to think about how the IKEA stores could evolves with their commercial strategy.

COCOON///Architecture diploma project 2008 Work on “Beaugrenelle”, a typical estate from the 70’s in the middle of Paris. The purpose is to offer more space to make the area elvolving, but without destroying what is already existing. This kind of architecture from the 70’s is critisized by both architects and politics, but it is built now, and has some qualities. Addition instead of substitution

Letterfrack Charter- Architectural answers to the digital revolution Changes in space organisation During the last decade, the conditions of architecture changed massively. The rise of digital networks has metamorphosed both social and economical structures as well as our comprehension of time, distance and space. Interfaces to access virtual worlds are invading the urban realm, disturbing the sense of local identity. Inhabitants and the program of real space are reproduced in the virtual world, which has a different set of guiding principals to its original. This impacts on the ways in which we understand and use the built realm. Technology is continuing to evolve and architecture, as yet, is unable to keep pace. By developing future scenarios, we began to explore the effects of digitalization of the built environment. The way individuals use and relate to the Internet varies strongly. For some, it serves simply as method to organize their lives while its an emerging technology for others. Based on that fact, architectural answers to the phenomena Internet deffer radically. We tried to develop both approaches to extremities in our scenarios.
Scenario 1: Cluster-settlements Digital platforms and services allow to live the daily life increasingly via Internet. For a growing number of people work, education, communication and socializing happens to a large extent or complete on a screen. They become physically and visually detached from their immediate spatial environment. Architecture ceases to provide experiential qualities and is reduced to an infrastructure for interface to the virtual world and basic physical needs. It’s an interactive world of images in which you canchose the degree of anonymity, create your personality, control and create your environment, instead of inhabiting a given one. The actual physical environment decreases in importance wherefore architecture and urban realm become stripped of many of its initial functions
Scenario 2: Technomads The universal access to information about real spaces changes its use. The amount of information in combination with the sophisticated ways to search gives users a greater choice. One finds the bars, galleries, places to work, or whatever within a city easier through the Internet. A optimization of use of space happens therefore.
The organizational power of the Internet could allow a society to constantly
LETTERFRACK CHARTER///EASA workshop Ireland 2008 EASA (European Architecture Students Assembly) is an annual assembly of 400 architecture students which takes place over a three week period every August. The aim of the organisation is to encourage cooperation between student over 40 europeans countries through the media of architectural workshops, lectures, informal debates and exhibitions.
reshape itself spatially, due to the individual interests and lifestyle choices. The role of architecture would be, to allow this happening, to provide an accommodating infrastructure upon which a society can fluidly transform itself and along with that, its built environment. Architects would not design buildings nor urban realms anymore, but develop potential urban fields, which might or might not be used.
NEW ORLY///Strategic study of reconfiguration of public places - Orly Airport Paris - 2009
The purpose of this 3 months study was to identify why Orly airport, 20 kilometers away from Paris, had such a bad reputation in passengers and users minds. Modernist monument in the 70’s, the place has a real potential of great redevelopment in an ultra-contemporany public space, a symbolic new identity between airport fonction and urban context.

DEVIL’S GARDEN///Chaumont garden competition
2009
The purpose of the project is to make people think about heir own point of view about the fact that some parts of the Nature are not allowed in our societies. To achieve this goal, all the forbidden plants are put together inside an inflatable hermetic bubble. The visitor wears a bacteriologic suit, wich prevent him to touch this Nature, and is a metaphora of the moral point of view of the society.

DATADUC/// HBBX competition 2009 Dataduc:

The High Bridge - as an ancient aqueduct - was a crucial part of New York city’s development that brought water to Manhattan. At the information age, all the city need is bits. Bits of information, bits of objects, bits of Art. This is how we came out with the concept of Dataduc : an infrastructure made of thousand miles of optic fibers that plays the role of an art aggregator. Not a simple building, or a location, but a network. Dataduc aims to bridge the gap between the virtual world - everything happening on the other side of your computer screen - and the physical world we live in. With its innovating substance, Art seems to be the perfect fuel to make it happens. When the offline world (a.k.a the real world, the meatspace or the atom-arena) mirrors the online world (a.k.a the virtual space or the bit-arena), it offers multiple potentials for a cultural center. Although it includes a gallery, Dataduc remains first of all a network node. Nowadays, artworks should be spread outside museum walls, and live both online and offline. The cultural center of tomorrow should involve not only three components, but a large range of interactions between art, artists and city dwellers. This is why this project focus on the multiples uses allowed by the network and some of the devices that could enhanced Art in the city.
