5 Ways Interior Design Enhances Your WellBeing at Home

Theenvironmentweliveinimpactstheway wefeeleveryday Justasnatureinfluences our mood and state of mind, interior design isn’t simply about placing pretty things together to make the space look beautiful foryouortoimpressothers.Usinginteriordesign techniques in your home is about creating an environment that will support and nourish you physically, mentally, emotionally, and even socially

While designing, an interior designer, will take theseaspectsintoconsiderationtoenhanceyour quality of life, ensuring your well-being is at centerstage.

1. Function - By learning how you live in your home, solutions are created and implemented to address what will support you in that environment For instance, a doctor who works nightshiftsneedsmulti-layeredblackoutcurtains toblockdaylightandtoreduceoutsidenoise The functionalityofthecurtainswillensurethedoctor getsbettersleepduringtheday.

2 Organization - While still attentively listening to your needs, an interior designer will create storage solutions that are not only creative but also appealing to your home and lifestyle Here, perhaps a butterfly-shaped storage ottoman may be specified to act as toy storage in a small nursery

3 Comfort - This is more important than beauty; comfort is oneof themost essential aspectsof

interior design An interior designer will select colors, textiles, lighting, furnishings, etc thatwhen combined will ensure your overall comfort For example, a large sectional sofa with a chaise lounge for reading or watching movies The sofa is paddedwithsoftfoam, thefabriconthesofaisalso soft, plush, and breathable to ensure it isn’t hot in the summer or too cold when you sit in the winter Softthrowpillowswillenhancecomfort

4 Safety - Materials have standard safety codes to protect you from hazards at home A designer considers such codes and standards when making selections for you For instance, most textiles are fire rated to delay flames from spreading rapidly, and a non-slip floor tile should always be selected forashowertopreventfalling

5. IndividualNeeds - These are the core of interior design Adesignerwilladdressthespecificneedsof eachmemberofafamilytoensuretheirwell-being while enjoying the space(s) If a couple request a quietreadingarea, thedesignerwillcreatethebest possible area that will work for all parties, or if the wife requests a home office, the designer will find theideallocationforthatanddesignittofulfillher needs.

This is a small glimpse of how interior design ensures your well-being is always at the forefront Interior design isn’t just about decorating It is about ensuring your issues at home are addressed while considering every aspect of better living for youandyourfamily

Project Highlight

When I couple reached out to design their loft in the woods, I jumped right in! They wanted a modern, unfussy space with a touch of wilderness for their weekend getaway I happily obliged!

The living area with a modern, orange sofa faces a large screen for tv viewing on a wood-plank clad wall. Botanic mixed with animal print curtains frame the window to the outdoors and large zebra artwork highlights a memorable vacation.

View of the modern floating staircase with metal cables attached to the ceiling. A black wall is contrasted by a large canvas artwork leading to the bedroom upstairs The modern entry door is to the left under the stairs with glass inserts for a view of the outside. To the right of the entry door, a free-form wood console adds a unique sculptural look.

View from the entryway into the kitchen and living spaces. The kitchen peninsula is a quartz waterfall bar height with crocodile vinyl upholstered barstools facing the living area. A large window frames the beautiful outdoor view Cabinets are painted in a blue-gray glossy finish.
