vacation. Whether you are exploring the lush tropical rainforests, full of eco-adventures on St. Vincent, or experiencing the coral reefs and turquoise lagoons of Bequia, this region is worthy of your winter vacation. St. Vincent and Grenada are easily accessible from the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Western Europe via the major airlines and private aircraft. Near the northernmost part of the Caribbean lay the U.S. Virgin Islands—St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John’s. With easy flights into St. Thomas, your winter vacation quickly commences. During your charter, you may enjoy the bustle of Main Street in Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas, the national parks of St. John’s, the rain forests of St. Croix and the fabulous diving on Buck Island. A quick alteration to your itinerary will bring you into Tortola, part of the British Virgin Islands. We look forward to assisting you with the planning of your next yacht charter. It is best to plan ahead to secure your preferred dates, and do remember that during the holidays many yachts require a 10 day minimum or a schedule that allows for a week-long Christmas charter and a week-long New Year’s charter.
In the meantime, We’ll be attending the following yacht shows October 27–31 | Fort Lauderdale Int’l Boat Show If you are in the Fort Lauderdale area during this period, please stop by our offices at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center. Although it’s mainly a sales and brokerage show, there will be quite a few charter vessels on display and we’d love to show you some of these yachts.
December | 50th Annual Antigua Charter Show This broker-only show is the largest event for charter yachts in the Caribbean. Additionally, the majority of the yachts on display will be available for charter in the Med or New England during the Summer. The show gives us a great opportunity to inspect a large number of charter vessels and meet their respective captains and crew.

At the southern end of the Caribbean chain, the Windward Islands are a wellkept secret. Situated as the last links before Trinidad and South America, the Windwards are lush and richly tropical volcanic islands, green with palm lined sandy beaches. Day 1 & 2 | You will arrive in St. Vincent, to be greeted and transported to your yacht. Relax, unwind and unpack to settle-in aboard your new home for the next week. The daring in your group will head to the famous La Soufriere volcano where you will experience breath-taking views and a top-of-the-world euphoria found only at the summit of such world-class hikes. Others will enjoy a small boat trip to the Falls of Baleine. Spend the nights anchored in Chateaubelair, the most scenic anchorage in St. Vincent or Cane Garden near Kingstown, the capital.
Day 3 | After a breakfast cruise to the island of Bequia (pronounced “beckway”), anchor in picturesque Admiralty Bay. Descending from Scots and French, the inhabitants of Admiralty Harbor are proud people. Diving is exceptional and can be arranged for you by the crew. A land tour is recommended to appreciate this tropical Nantucket. Day 4 | Spend the day in the Tobago Cays—five tiny, uninhabited islands. Surrounded by pristine Horseshoe Reef, a snorkeler’s paradise awaits with a fantastic array of sponges, coral formations and feeding fish. In the afternoon, the dive boats all depart, leaving you in perfect solitude. Day 5 | Awake in Canouan with the return to civilized pleasures and play a round of golf at the Trump International Golf Club at Raffles Resort, or pamper yourself at Raffles’ Amrita Spa. Later, head
to Union Island and visit Mt. Tabol or walk the long sandy beach in Chatham Bay. Day 6 | Leaving the splendor of the Grenadines will be tough on you, but the famous island of Grenada awaits you. Grenada offers lush green mountains, waterfalls and golden beaches. Grenada is the “Isle of Spice” due to the abundance of spice trees. The next two days will give you a taste of this island’s treasures. Crater Lake, waterfall after waterfall and the monkeys await your arrival; touring this island is a safari. Day 7 | Today is your day. Spend it anyway you like in Grenada before you have to say goodbye and travel to the airport. If you are flying out of Grenada, spend the morning shopping, swimming and snorkeling. If you are flying out of St. Vincent, pull up anchor and cruise north, reliving the past six days. Slow it down, speed it up, there is so much more to see and do. It’s up to you!

US Virgin Islands the choice is yours when it comes to cruising the shimmering blue waters and spectacular coral reefs of the virgin islands. Welcome to the U.S. Virgin Islands. You are in charge, calling the shots and making or changing the plans as the mood strikes you! Day 1 | You will arrive in St. Thomas, greeted by a crew member to whisk you away to Crown Bay Marina and your waiting yacht. Enjoy lunch alfresco as we cruise Charlotte Amalie Harbor. Day 2 | How about a water sports day? After breakfast we can depart for Megan’s Bay, St. Thomas. Located on the north shore of the island, protected by land on three sides, it boasts one of the favorite beaches on the island! Snorkel, ski, windsurf, people watch or explore — Megan's Bay is pretty as a postcard; warm, sexy and inviting!
Day 3 | A short two hour cruise brings us to bustling Cruz Bay, St. John. Cruz Bay is the heart of this island covered with tropical rain forests and national parks. Lunch in any of the pretty seaside cantinas promises to be delightful, followed by a walk to Mongoose Junction’s exotic shopping haven. Afterwards, we return to the yacht for a quick cruise to Caneel Bay.
Day 6 | We will take a quick 30 minute cruise to Buck Island with its shimmering blue water and spectacular coral reefs. The island boasts exceptional wildlife above and below the sea. For the evening we will take a short ride back to the St. Croix Yacht Club at Teague Bay. Dinner and cocktails on the aft deck are a must as the moon and stars watch you dance the night away!
Day 4 | Awake beside one of the island’s prettiest beaches for a morning swim. After breakfast, discover St. John the best way, by jeep. You may choose to go it on your own, or a crew member will be happy to guide you. Return to the yacht for a sunset cruise to beautiful Francis Bay.
Day 7 | Enjoy the morning on the beach, just thirty feet from your yacht. We have made no plans for this morning, as an opportunity for you to explore this beautiful island. Afternoon will find us departing for a leisurely cruise back to St. Thomas. We make landfall under cover of night, stars twinkling above and the beauty of Charlotte Amalie aglow in the moonlight. Cruising into this harbor of lights is a fitting end to your sparkling week on charter!
Day 5 | A perfect day for a Blue Water cruise! Today we will cruise to the largest of the Virgin Islands, St. Croix. Four hours to the south lays the part of Christiansted. A walking tour of this town filled with Danish architecture is interesting and fun with your crewman along to indicate the best points of interest. Return to the yacht for a lovely sunset cruise to Green Cay Marina.

Windward Islands Leeward Islands What’s the difference? The Windward Islands are the southern islands of the Lesser Antilles. They are called such because they are more windward than the Leeward Islands, given that the prevailing winds in the area blow to the north. Martinique, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Saint Vincent, The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago make up the Windward Islands. The Leeward Islands are the northern islands of the Lesser Antilles. They are called “Leeward” because the prevailing winds in the area blow from south to north. Thus the Leeward Islands are downwind, on the backside, or leeward from the Windward Islands. The Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Saint Maarten, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Saint Barth’s, Antigua, Barbuda, Saint Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Guadeloupe and Dominica make up the Leeward Islands.
