As you will discover in this booklet, your gifts to Studios are truly transformational for not hundreds, but for thousands, of children and adults in the Paso Robles community. Your support makes Studios a centerpiece of art and art education in our city. When our Kids Art Smart participants (ALL elementary school age children in northern San Luis Obispo County) return with their families to see their creations and lead them on tours, their ownership of Studios is evident. Our friends and neighbors claim Studios as their art studio when they bring visitors and loved ones in for exhibitions and special events like Art After Dark Paso or take a photo in front of Enjoy PASO, our latest mural project. You make all of this possible by giving generously to the Annual Fund which underwrites all of our important work. We could not do it without you. So, read on as we share the most recent Studios' news, the number of lives changed and the tangible results that we, together, are making in our community. KIDS ART SMART KIDS ART SMART IS OUR AMAZING AND SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES THOUSANDS OF LOCAL CHILDREN WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN ABOUT, AND PARTICIPATE IN, THE ARTS. In the last year 5,250 children received free art classes. It costs $900 per classroom. Please help us continue this special program.

50.3% Kids Art Smart Students are Low Income, At Risk We also teach middle and high school students to draw and paint at Hearst Castle!

MURAL ARTS THANKS TO YOUR PARTNERSHIP, STUDIOS ON THE PARK HAS COME TO PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE EVOLUTION OF PASO ROBLES’ CIVIC CULTURE The latest and greatest expression of our mission to advance the arts in our community is Enjoy PASO, our first ever painted outdoor artwork at 1215 Spring Street. With support from building owner George Shoemaker and Firestone Walker Brewing Company, we commissioned internationally recognized mural artist Pat Milbery and his So-Gnar Inc. team to create a visual representation of our identity. Collaborating with dozens of local youth and volunteers, they braved rain and freezing temperatures to complete a 99' long work of art that revitalizes and beautifies, inspires dialogue, and unites the Paso Robles community around a common sense of place. The poet Pablo Neruda called murals “the people’s blackboard” and Enjoy PASO is exactly that. Help us paint more murals and secure Paso Robles' place as the center of creative culture and economy on the Central Coast.
