Message from the Desk of… Pastor Alson Ebanks: Senior Pastor It’s Christmas again! And, praise God, we can gather together and enjoy the lights, colours, and other trappings that make this season so special. But nothing says, “Christmas” like the songs— words and melodies—that are so dear to us. They take us back to the days when we were children, unable to fall asleep on Christmas Eve because of the dream of finding what Santa Claus will have brought us while we slumbered. Yes, we will admit that our childish desires were for gifts, that we sometimes forgot what Christmas was really all about. That’s why we all went to Church on Christmas: to be reminded of what happened in that stable, and who was laid in that manger those many years ago in Bethlehem. Again this year, both grown-ups and children will be reminded of what Christmas is really all about as our marvelous, gifted Children’s Choir takes us “back to the manger.” May that journey bring us closer than ever to the One who made this season worth celebrating!

Fay Jackson: Director This Christmas, we pause to acknowledge the late Carol Mascarenhas, who started the children’s choir many, many years ago. Today we have seen children of past choir members joining the group and many more who are doing wonderful things for the Kingdom. She invested in the lives of young people and so we are inspired to continue with God’s guidance. We thank God for His faithfulness towards the Church of God Chapel Childrens Choir, where Children can express themselves, while experiencing the wonderful love of Jesus Christ. This Christmas season we would like to take you on a mission as the Spies and our CIKs (Christmas Intelligence Kids) secretly bring joy to the Cayman Islands Community. Thanks to everyone who continues to give of their time, talents and resources to make this program a success.

Jacie Mascarenhas: Co-Director Hello Everyone! It’s that time of year again: Christmas Musical Time! This Christmas Season be prepared to go undercover with us as we find out the true meaning of Christmas. It is such a privilege to be able to work with such talented, funny, and outgoing kids. It’s amazing to see that this choir, which was started years ago by my mom, is still going strong and continuing to grow to positively impact the younger generation. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it..” Thank you to all the kids and volunteers who have continued to give their time and energy to this amazing musical and mission. Now, your mission, should you choose to accept it: Please enjoy the production “We Three Spies”!
