Sesquicentennial Birthday Party Sunday, September 14, 2003

Events for children will be held all over the hill-top campus, including science demonstrations such as “Shake, Rattle and Roll: Structural Dynamics,” a v basketball clinic in the Athletic Complex and a play put on by graduate students called, “The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.” The medical school will also be hosting events on subjects like posture, diabetes and v genetics to promote health and wellness and events like “the Future of Medicine” to demonstrate the latest research breakthroughs. Free picnic style food will be available throughout the day in the quad, the field between the Women's v Buildling and Graham Chapel, and the intramural field in front of the Knight Center. While supplies last, the Alumni Association will be handing out special “Ses-Quete” concretes created by alumnus Ted Drewe. v The Birthday Party culminates with a performance by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra at 7 p.m. in the Brookings Quadrangle.
