WIT Scholarship Programme Waterford Institute of Technology offers a number of entrance scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. These are awarded based on academic excellence in studies completed prior to application for a programme at WIT. Undergraduate Scholarships Scholarship applications are welcomed for all full-time Degree Programmes in Science and Engineering at WIT. The applicant must have achieved academic excellence in his/her High School Diploma, and have an IELTS of at least 6.0 to be considered for a scholarship. Scholarship applicants must have received an offer for their preferred undergraduate programme at WIT, and are required to submit a completed scholarship application form and scholarship reference form to the International Education Office, WIT, Cork Road, Waterford by 31st May for entry in September. The value of each scholarship award is a 25% tuition fee bursary in the 2nd and subsequent years of the Honours Degree programme. Full fees are payable in Year 1. The bursary for continuing years is conditional on the student achieving a minimum of 2nd Class Honours in 2nd and subsequent years. Postgraduate Scholarships Scholarship applications are welcomed for the following postgraduate programmes at WIT.      

MSc in Computing (Communications Software) MSc in Computing (Information Systems Processes) MSc in Computing (Multi-media and E-Learning) M.Eng in Electronic Engineering MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering MSc in Innovative Technologies

The applicant must have achieved academic excellence in his/her undergraduate studies, and must have an IELTS of at least 6.5 to be considered for a scholarship. Scholarship applicants must have received an offer for their preferred postgraduate programme at WIT, and are required to submit a completed scholarship application form Available here http://www.wit-india.com/Downloads.html The value of each postgraduate scholarship award for a 12 month full-time postgraduate programme is a tuition fee bursary of 50%.


Notes 1. A scholarship awarding panel will review all applications in early June of each academic year, and all applicants will receive feedback by the end of June in their year of application. 2. A set number of scholarships are made available by the Scholarship Committee each year based on the funding and places available within programmes. Having the minimum academic requirements will not entitle candidates to a scholarship. The application process is competitive and candidates are competing for a limited number of places. 3. The cost of living in Waterford for 12 months is estimated at between 6500 and 7500 euro. The scholarship does not include living expenses.
