THE HISTORY Ever since receiving his first watch, Henry Fisher has been enamored with the complexities of watchmaking and the alluring charm that accompanies this centuries-old profession. With a rare and stunning timepiece already by his side, he began collecting. What began as a simple interest bloomed into a determined obsession. But what he learned from this infatuation was something he could not bear. Luxury watches were simply out of reach for working class people. If one were not a renowned business owner or celebrated doctor, luxury wristwear was unheard of. He classified the luxury watch arena as a “rich man’s game lacking a poor man’s heart.” Combining his business determination with his fascination for horology, he fashioned a thriving business model that has experienced success for the better part of two decades. In 1999, on a trip to Switzerland, watch capital of the world, Fisher made an interesting discovery. Watch prices seemed over-inflated due to flashy sponsorships of celebrity and athlete ambassadors. As new endorsements rolled in, retail watch pricing continued

to rise. Inspired by the design of these luxury timepieces, yet disheartened at the thought of consumers paying astronomical prices for marketing fluff, Fisher decided to construct a company that imbued the ethos of affordability, where luxury watches were not limited to distinguished captains of industry. Fisher began compiling portfolios of watch designs. His belief was, and is, that every person should have the opportunity to own a luxury wristwatch regardless of social status or economic class. Following fourteen months of intense research, Stührling inaugurated its own factory. In its first year, Stührling sold 22,386 watches, all for an affordable and sensible price. Fisher grabbed the market’s attention. In 2015, Stührling will ship more than one million timepieces. It is the brand’s continuous mission to place an affordable luxury timepiece on the wrists of all-comers, and judging by its sales success, it seems to be headed in the right direction.

DESIGN & CONCEPTION Although emphasis on aesthetically pleasing designs and advanced movements is essential, we understand the want for the complete package. Our watches are constructed with the consumer in mind, not simply with a focus on physical appearance, but an additional and equally weighted emphasis is placed on comfortability and convenience. THE PROTOTYPE Early samples are constructed using CNC (computer numerically controlled) processes involving precise computer-controlled lathes, mills, routers and grinders. After extensive review of these samples, final production-ready timepiece prototypes are produced and meticulously tested before going into final production.

THE MANUFACTURING St端hrling manufactures all its watches from the highest grade of raw materials. The case and bracelet are comprised of surgical grade stainless steel and the glass of the more exceptional models, is crafted from sapphire crystal. Genuine high-purity rose or yellow gold is then plated (where applicable) on each of our timepieces. Each watch undergoes a variety of finishing processes including lapping, beveling, abrading and polishing. For watch bracelets, each individual link is carefully beveled and polished, and where applicable, accented with a gorgeous satin-brushed finish.
St端hrling watches are crafted in cutting-edge clean room facilities by adept and experienced watchmakers. From design creation to the culmination of production, a minimum of 6 months is required as each product undergoes rigorous amounts of manual labor and a series of quality-control procedures.

THE PRESENTATION Presentation plays a vital role for our brand. Though we consider our timepieces to be standalone marvels, Stührling believes the customer warrants an experience when purchasing a watch. Our watches are encased in a beautifully detailed package we like to call ‘the prelude’, intended to spark excitement well before the unveiling.

SERVICE CENTER Our repair department, which is staffed with several watchmakers - with more than 65 years of collective watchmaking experience - restore your StuĚˆhrling back to its original fully operational form. Our factory also houses a spare parts center that accommodates over 1.6 million individually distinct parts. Knowing customers can count on us to supply any necessary part is priority number one; which is why we offer a two year warranty covering many wear and tear issues as well as unanticipated defects.

INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION Stührling’s logistics operation accommodates a multitude of detailed international requests, including drop-shipping, retail-ready bar-coding, bulk packing, customs-friendly stickering, and an ability to transport goods with any shipper or freight service that our customers require. As part of Stührling’s varied distribution offering all international clientele are provided with a login to Stührling’s customized internet portal. With a secure login and password, distributors may place orders 24/7 through a discrete website address.
As of January 2015, Stührling watches are sold in more than 120 countries and territories. Not only are Stührling timepieces sold in luxury boutiques and specialized malls, but they are also sold in countless duty free shops, hotels, private clubs, cruise ships, airlines, and International resorts. The Stührling brand has been profiled in 93 international horological publications. In fact, Stührling has been featured in cover stories for 17 wristwatch magazines.
