SHIELD The shield protects the rider against wind, dirt, insects and UV radiation. It must also guarantee clear vision without optical distortion. The Helmet Shell 2. THE HELMET SHELL The helmet shell absorbs the impact energy in the event of a fall, and distributes it over the largest possible area. EPS liner 3. EPS LINER The energy that is passed on by the helmet shell is absorbed by the deformation of the EPS liner. The EPS liner is designed to absorb the energies of a single impact. Inner padding 4. COMFORT LINER The inner padding consists of high-quality polyurethane foams of various levels of hardness, with superior cover materials to ensure a perfect hold and seating on the face. Chin Strap 5. CHINSTRAP The task of the chinstrap is to hold the helmet firmly on the head. This is done by using a chinstrap with proper tensile strength and extensibility. The chinstrap is firmly attached to the helmet shell with metal rivets. Ventilation 6. VENTILATION The SHOEI ventilation system directs cooling, drying air into the helmet, and uses areas of low air pressure to the rear of the helmet to draw warm, damp air through the outlets and into the outside environment. Ventilation is one of the most sought after helmet functions during the research and development stages of all new models. The perfect placing and shaping of the inlets and outlets, along with air channels buried within the EPS liner, are the basis for optimum ventilation, and is part of what separates SHOEI from our competition. Here are just a couple of the letters we’ve received over the last month..... Dear Stunt’N Magazine, When will you be show casing the female clubs and Stunt riders. My club sisters and I have some of the hottest females on the bike scene AND on hot bikes at that. I just wanna know when will we get our chance to shine, and how come there hasn’t been a half naked man on a bike for us ladies. We like a lil… here and there! ~Queen B, Daytona, FL ~ Queen B, 1st let me say we have every intention on show casing the female riders in upcoming issues. We are very much aware of the female MC’s since one of our writers belong to a female club in GA. As far as Male model on bikes go, I’m sure our photographer would get a kick out that. So, maybe we’ll see. ~Stunt’N

I just wanna thank everyone that picked up an issue this month. As you know we are celebrating our 2year anniversary. 2 years of success is more like it. We have come so far in content & material, and have been able to reach so many more riders coast to coast. This issue itself represents so much more for me personally. Since we made connections with New Jersey MC’s, it would appear it’s time to expand to different regions. Realizing the need for us up North has inspired me to reach out to more clubs in other states and make new connections that will inevitably put Stunt’N Magazine on a bigger map.

Stunt’N Magazine, Thanks for the love you guys show personally to the Motorcycle Clubs and the shout outs you give on your website. It’s not that many magazines out that touch on or speak on the same issue you guys do on a printed level. Keep doing what you’re doing. ~MR. Gsxrrr1000, Baltimore, MD Dear Mr. Gsxrrr1000 , Lately we have been directing our focus on more of the MC’s and riders opposed to just pretty bikes. I mean don’t get me wrong, our main focus is to show case custom bikes and their riders, which is how we try to keep it personal. Reaching out to more clubs helps us discover the undiscovered ~Stunt’N

I Dedicate this Issue to:

Jihadaah, Christopher, Erika, Erik & Kyse (a.k.a.) Lil Skipp. 5 of the most beautiful children I know....My Kids

Last Month we asked some of our readers to email us & comment on our last few issues, and tell us what they would like to see more of. We got a lot of responses and will be taking every one of them into consideration. Team Stunt’N Magazine

Late one Saturday night toward the end of July, while driving down Broadway in Newark, NJ a biker pulls up besides us at the light. Unable to see his colors, Skipp turns to me & says “beep the horn”… And so begins the association of Stunt’N & THUG Riders MC of Newark NJ. Turns out, the biker on the Red & Black custom GSXR was Lem Dog of T.H.U.G Riders MC. Here’s networking at its best, b/c I remember seeing those colors as friends on our Stunt’N myspace page. After a couple of BBM msg’ between Skipp and Capo, we were invited to the Bike Night out at Cheeseburger Paradise in Woodbridge NJ, where a very warm welcome was received. When time permitted, Capo (VP of Thug Riders) & I had an in depth con¬versation regarding the inception of the THUG Riders, their mission, goals, as well as his own personal views about life as a Biker.

Lu- Rock as President

T.H.U.G. is an acronym for Today’s Heroes Unifying Generations. By definition, a thug is a hoodlum, crimi¬nal, a delinquent. However the THUG Riders intention¬ally chose this word, making an acronym that exudes positivity, taking a negative word and applying a pro¬ductive connotation to it.

While in town, we got a chance to hit up a trophy party with their Connecticut chapter and Chino, President of the Connecticut Chapter showed Stunt’N so much Love. Our very ownn Skipp(CEO of Stunt’N) and his Property Yasmeen were awarded the Furthest Distance Traveled trophy for rep¬pin The James Gang MC of Atlanta, GA.

Founded in 2004 by President Lu Rock in his garage on N. 12th Street in Newark, THUG Riders MC initially had less than a handful of members. It was conceived with an inspirational concept of forming a network of brothers connected through friendship, loyalty, and a love of riding. Now seven years later and 3 chapters in, including the Mother Chapter in Newark, there are approximately 200 members total, and meetings are in their spacious new Clubhouse located at 283 Mt. Pleasant Ave, Newark.

With Lu- Rock as President, Moe a.k.a Capo & Crazy E as Vice Presidents and Puerto Rican D as Lt. Sergeant-at-Arms their goal is to become widely respected within the entire motorcycling society as a Group of riders that are loyal, have integrity and give back to the communities that they came from. They plan to make the movement stronger, and not go corporate like some other clubs. THUG Riders are more concerned with the quality of their members as op¬posed to the quantity.

Capo (VP) tells us that although THUG Riders gives back to the community, and is actively trying to change the bad reputation that Bikers have; they are not recreational Bikers. They have activities throughout the entire year, not just April-October. Every spring, THUG Riders host a PreMyrtle Beach Free Hennessey Bash, & in the fall they have a November Fallout Party.

In keeping true to traditional motorcycle clubs, which these days seem to be a dying breed, the THUG Riders are an all male motorcycle club. Only the wives & girlfriends of members are allowed to wear support vests. However, they do understand that women also love to ride and in March of this year they supported the for¬mation of their “sister” club the Murda Mamis MC, an all female club also based out of Newark. At this year’s November Fallout, Murda Mamis MC will be officially introduced to the community. Stay tuned for a showcase of the Murda Mamis MC in a future issue of Stunt’N. THUG Riders both recognize & respect the contribu¬tions that have been made to the lifestyle by longstand¬ing clubs such as Trike Masters MC est. 1983 located on Broadway in Newark & the Newark Knights MC (the oldest motorcycle club in Newark) est.1972 located on Springfield Ave in Newark, NJ

The THUG Riders are motivated by their legacy of giving back to the community, and in turn have implemented community outreach programs of their own. Each year the THUG Riders donate numerous backpacks full of school supplies to elementary & high school students. In addition each Christmas holiday they donate gifts to the mothers & children in battered women’s shelters. This year they are enacting a new practice of providing food to those in need during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Show Ya Colors

THUG RIDERS MC Connecticut Chapter Trophy Party

Although the THUG Riders have received many blessÂŹings (for which they are eternally thankful for), success has not come without loss. On April 20, 2005 one of the founding members, Khaleel McLean lost his life in an car accident on Central Avenue in East Orange NJ at the age of 28. Khaleel left behind an unborn son, whom he will never know personally, but who will know him through the brotherhood of the THUG Riders. On March 11, 2007 tragedy struck once again, claiming the life of Reinaldo Martinez a.k.a Chicken Hawk as he led a group of riders through Branch Brook Park. Unfortunately the irresponsible driver of a Chevy Cavalier chose the wrong moment to attempt an illegal u-turn. At only 25 years of age, he was the Treasurer of the THUG Riders and a decorated Newark Fire Fighter. Subsequent to his death, the City of Newark renamed the block he lived on (Montclair Avenue), Reinaldo Martinez Jr. Plaza.

The members of THUG Riders MC were brought together from all walks of live by their passion for riding. They ride sportsbikes, Cruisers, & Choppers. Their occupations range from Police Officers to Tattoo Artists and everything in between. They are entrepreneurs & business owners, union members. They are Black, White & Hispanic. Being a biker is not a hobby. It’s a lifestyle. They are bikers when the temperature drops, the snow starts to fall and the bikes have to be put away until spring. To some of the members like Lou Rock and Capo, the bike world is like the army. You ride with your brothers, you laugh with your brothers, your pray with your brothers, you cry with your brothers, you die with your brothers. Being a biker shows exactly how fleeting and precious life is. Life is too short to bicker. Especially when you can achieve more together

Lu-Rock, Crazy E & Capo appreciate and thank their members for their loyalty, and will continue to make them proud. They also requested to recognize the other Motorcycle Clubs they partner with, that help give them greater exposure in other communiÂŹties. Shout out to East Coast Bad Boys Founder Iceberg, President Sally Roc, & Vice President Swift. Also Shout out to Brooklyn H.O.O. D Riders Founder Stunna, President Pipes, & Vice PresiÂŹdent Hurtz. ~Olivia Snowe Copyright 2010

them Harley D Folks!

On July our photographer caught up with Clay Co Harley Davidson in Morrow Ga. What a huge turn out. Vendors like Full throttle and many more came out to show their support. We even got a few good pics of the legendary Buffalo Soldiers Bike with the Buffalo head in front. There were a lot of custom bikes out. Everything from cruisers to street bikes, trikes and four wheelers. They even had a few beautiful models walking around to take a picture or two with. I know the workers at Harley Davidson sure appreciated her. But it was all for a good time. Harley rarely does anything on a small scale and usually serves as a benefit to most bikers or motorcycle enthusiast. Chuck Harrison the General Sales Manager at Clayton County HD played a huge part in us connecting with Harley for this issue and we greatly appreciate all your support. Check them out at www.hdofclaytonco.com

FALLEN RIDERS Rest In Peace

About Stunt’N Magazine Photo credited to yamaha wallpaper websearch, creator Unknown

The significance in the photo above says so much for us. (Shout out to Smoke from the Buffalo Soldiers MC Georgia chapter.) The Night we held our very 1st custom bike contest was at a bike night in Atlanta, Ga. hosted by DJ Playboi of the #1 Stunna Atlanta chapter. Much respect to the owners of these bikes above (if they still exist) and Yamaha for the concept of the photo. In 2008 it was all about the custom sport bikes for us, as hinted our slogan “CHROME PAINT LIGHTS & LOUD PIPES”.

32

Since that time, we have made some changes to the content of Stunt’N. Realizing it’s not just the crotch rockets doin it big, but the cruisers’ and choppers’ game has come a long way as well. This issue we are showcasing the HD Trike in the same manner we did Smoke’s ZX-14 that made the cover of our 1st issue. But don’t worry, we haven’t lost focus, just made some changes for the better, like staying away from too much advertisement and having more content.

Stunt’N Magazine, Inc, is a motorsport publica¬tion, established by and for individuals who are interested and/or involved in the bike community. Stunt’N, once a new and upcoming magazine, previously targeting the Atlanta Metro and surrounding major cities of Georgia’s motorsport community, has now expanded nationwide. Each issue includes and covers all aspects of the motorcycle community and more. The full color, high gloss publication focuses on various issues that concern & promote the bike community, showcase M/C ‘s night life and involvement within the community, participation in political issues, as well as personal interest stories.

Our Mission

The mission of Stunt’N Magazine is to disseminate knowledge and provide information about various clubs, businesses and organizations that contribute to¬ward our community, some by way of advertisement, which will create opportunities for networking and support needed within the motor sport community. The bike communities are rapidly growing and we believe that a publication of this category is desper¬ately needed, and our timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

The name Stunt’N is used in this instance, as an adjective, derived from slang terminology describing ones look, swagger and style. WE WILL NOT in any way endorse or encourage reckless riding a.k.a. “Stunting” or any other unorganized or unauthorized extreme danger¬ous riding activities or events.

About Stunt’ N Magazine

The concept of this motor sport magazine was initi¬ated August 2008, in Atlanta, by Erik Allbrook. Realizing the fundamental need for a local informa¬tive motorcycle publication, focused on personal issues, safety & knowledge (which is imperative), Stunt’N was created to have a distinctive appeal to various bikers in conjunction with traditional riding and customized bikes.

Whether this is the first time you’re reading a issue of Stunt’N Magazine, are a yearly subscriber, or simply one of our regular readers; Thanks for supporting us this far. To everyone that has helped get us to this point, we Thank you tremendously. Sincerely, Stunt’N Magazine
