Adaptation Fund (AF)/ NABARD Projects Six AF projects across India are tackling climate change head-on, in sectors including climate-smart agriculture, food security, fisheries, forestry and water. In West Bengal, the project reaches 5,000 households covering over 22,500 beneficiaries and has introduced drought and heat-tolerant field crops, micro irrigation, low-cost water filtration, wasteland reforestation, community grain, crop and seed banks.
The National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) The NMSA has been formulated to make agriculture more productive, sustainable and climate resilient by focussing on integrated farming, water use efficiency, soil health management and synergizing resource conservation.
