CLUB UPDATES PAST FUNDRAISERS

TIE DYE TUESDAY Date: April 12th, 2022 Organized entirely by Stuy's Fundraising Committee, students enjoyed creating tie dye shirts, winning raffles, and raising money for Coalition for the Homeless.

BOWLING FUNDRAISER Date: April 22nd, 2022 In collaboration with the Academy of American Studies and Nest+M, participants funded proceeds for Save the Children- Ukraine while having a great time bowling.

DIVISION UPDATES

APRIL/MAY DIVISIONALS On April 7th, we covered club updates, upcoming events and fundraisers, got to know the 22'-23' executive board, and presented LTC awards. On May 31st, we held the first divisional of the service year, and played lots of icebreakers :D

At this International Distance 3-part race around NYC, we will be volunteering for activities related to the Triathlon run in Central Park, like handing out T-Shirts and helping with check-in. The event runs July 23rd and 24th.

D11 WEBMASTER APPLICATION As Divisional Webmaster, you will work closely with LTG Abigail, the rest of the Divisional Board, as well as individual Key Clubs to help establish effective communication. Apps are due July 1st!

DISTRICT COMMITTEE MEMBER REPRESENTATIVE New York District is looking for Member Representatives to serve on our District Committees again this year! Due June 26th.

DISTRICT PROJECT Pencils of Promise has been decided on for our District Project! Pencils of Promise has the mission to ensure that every child has access to quality education.

GOVERNOR'S PROJECT

Our Governor, Gabriella Slootsky, announced her Governor's Project - Soles 4 Souls - during the Spring Board Meeting! Soles 4 Souls collects new shoes and clothing to distribute to people in need across the U.S. and around the world.

KEY CLUB INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION Key Club International’s Summer Leadership Conference, our second virtual conference, is July 4-10th! ICON includes workshops, meeting Key Clubbers from all over New York State, seeing how expansive Key Club is, and SO MUCH MORE!

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE Key Club International introduced the Global Leadership Certificate program for members. In soon to be 39 courses, through videos, assessments, resources and activities, you’ll learn how to get your voice heard and your community’s concerns met. The District with the highest percentage of Key Clubbers enrolled in the program BY APRIL 30TH will get front-row seating at the Opening Session at ICON and will enjoy a district pizza party there!

SCHOOLHOUSE Are you interested in becoming a tutor? Key Club International's newest partner is with Schoolhouse, a free math peer-tutoring platform over Zoom. NYDKC’s goal is 550 hours of volunteer tutoring. The first district to reach its target wins: - An exclusive, district-wide event with Sal Khan, the founder. - A free Schoolhouse t-shirt for every active tutor in that district. - A certificate signed by Sal and Key Club leadership. The experiences and memories I've made in Key Club compare to no oth first year of high school was taken away by covid, I felt that I los Going back to school was a strange feeling; walking through the fr place I haven't set foot on since the 7th grade, barely recognizing pictures I've seen on their instagrams, it made me feel a little isola world. I’ve known about Key Club for a while; since my upperclassmen fri before. At first I thought it was a good way to get my service ho practices on weekends. But Key Club is now like a home to me.
