Every DAY
is a new beginning. Stay away from what might have been
and look at what can be. Rise up. Start fresh. See the bright opportunity in
a new day. 8
Today let's concentrate on being happy. Live life like a child! If you capture the spirit of a child, life becomes much easier. Never let life pressures bring you down! This is the day the Lord has made--we will rejoice and be glad in it! ~Rev Run
Take a moment and think about how you began your new day. When you woke up this morning, what was the first thing that you began to think about? How did you feel about today? From the start of our day, we unconsciously decide what kind of day we are going to have by how we think and feel about it. The attitude toward which we approach our coming hours, ours plans, goals and responsibilities determines what kind of day we are going to have. If we are thankful to be alive, we will appreciate today. If we look forward to the day with anticipation, we will be excited about today. If we expect our day to be filled with problems, we will approach today with dread. Today we woke up to new mercies, new challenges and problems, new hopes, new joys, and new reasons to be thankful. What we choose to focus on is up to us. There is an old proverb that says, As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. If you think you are blessed, you are. If you think you are defeated, you are. If you see obstacles as mountains that cannot be moved, you will not try to remove them. If you see obstacles as stumbling stones that can be overcome, you will overcome them. Think like a winner and you will be a winner! Choosing happiness, optimism, and hope is a daily decision. The choices we make determine what kind of day we are going to have as well as our destiny. It is a life principle--what we believe and act upon brings results in our lives. Those who develop their faith and belief in themselves and God have the power to live each day fully, successfully, and with true joy. How do we develop a strong and positive faith? Like all good things in life, it takes practice. Practice focusing on the solution instead of the problem and you will conquer it. Practice starting each day with thanks and good things will come your way. Practice looking for the best in everyone and you will find it. Practice seeing yourself as a winner and you will walk in confidence and accomplish great things. The power of faith is available to all of us. But, some of us put our faith in fear, defeat, or failure. Faith works either way-for good or for bad. Let your faith work wonders in your life. Start each new day believing for a good day and you will have it! When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. ~Marcus Aurelius Copyright Š Krystal Kuehn, New Day Counseling Center. When most people think of simplifying, the first thing they think of is getting rid of clutter around the home or office. Cleaning out closets and drawers is definitely a part of simplifying, but true simplification goes far deeper than that. Clutter is much more than old magazines, outdated clothes, and kitchen gadgets you never use. Certainly those things are clutter, but from now on, think of clutter as any possession, habit, thought pattern, attitude or activity that fits into one of these three categories: * Anything you don't need or use anymore * Anything that doesn't fit or work for you like it used to * Anything that doesn't add value and meaning to your life as it once did Under this new definition, clutter is anything that complicates your life and stands in the way of simplicity. In the past, you may have only thought of clutter in terms of stuff: those size 8 jeans you hope to wear again someday or those unfinished projects in your garage. But let me share a secret with you. These kinds of unwanted and unneeded material possessions are only the tip of the iceberg! What about the multitude of commitments that cram-pack your schedule? What about the thoughts that jumble your mind and the spending habits that sabotage your finances? All of these things are clutter too, because they cause chaos and confusion. When you think of clutter in this new light, you begin to see what a tremendous problem clutter truly is. You will also see that the root causes of this ugly clutter make the clutter itself look tame. Think about it. Why do you say yes to everyone who requests your time and services? Are you afraid that people won't like you if you say no? Do you feel the need to present a Super Mom image to the
world? What about those clothes you hold onto even though you know you will never wear them again? Are you afraid that if you get rid of them you will need them again someday? If you did happen to need them, do you doubt God's ability to provide more? And if you have a tendency to spend more than you can afford, ask yourself why you do that. Are you driven by feelings of discontentment or the need for instant gratification? Are you afraid that if you pass on a sale now you will never find a good price on that item again? These issues go much deeper than just having a messy desk or disorganized pantry. These are issues of the heart. Clutter does more than affect us physically and emotionally; it affects us spiritually because it keeps us from following Jesus fully. We simply cannot make room for Him when so many other things are in the way. The more we stay focused on the junk of this life, the less time and energy we have to focus on the important matters God and His plans for our lives. Have you ever tried to lug an overstuffed suitcase through a crowded airport? Not an easy task, is it? No matter how hard you try, you simply cannot move quickly and efficiently when you're c Think of clutter as baggage physical, emotional, and financial baggage that weighs you down and holds you back. Clutter is the heavy load that keeps many of us from maneuvering effectively through our lives. carrying a heavy load. Our suitcases are filled with all kinds of deadweight: habits we need to give up, attitudes we've long since outgrown, activities and possessions that no longer serve a reasonable purpose. If we want to lighten the load, we have to get rid of some of the junk.
What keeps you from moving forward at a steady pace in your life? Undoubtedly the things that slow you down is some kind of clutter you want to get rid of for good. Maybe you struggle with physical clutter around your home. Try as you might, you cannot seem to get organized. Or maybe you want to get a handle on your finances. You are tired of making good money but having nothing to show for it. Or maybe yours is an issue with time. You are tired of living at warp speed. You want to stop running and start living.
Whatever clutter challenges you face, trust me when I say you can learn to clarify your life by putting clutter in its place. I know because I have done it myself. My biggest clutter challenge was not dealing with cluttered living spaces or even cluttered finances. My challenge was to open up my emotional suitcase and go through its contents carefully. When I did, I discovered all kinds of clutter lurking inside. I found worry and doubt. I uncovered a faulty selfimage and an inability to set appropriate boundaries. I even found an unhealthy preoccupation with what others thought of me. It was a painful process, but necessary. One by one, I learned to trade in these old clunkers for the more efficient models God offered. I'm not saying I have it all together. Believe me, I don't. I'm not saying I never face challenges. But I have come to a place of clarity and life is much more pleasant now that I have. Is my life perfect? No, but it is much more peaceful and purposeful. And isn't that what we all want to live in peace as we live out our purpose? Nancy Twigg is an author and speaker who loves inspiring women to live more simply.

he choices you make for your wardrobe speak a lot about your personality. You may choose to wear trendy or classic styles and they can depend on your personal tastes and needs.
Experimenting with different styles is definitely fun. However, if you analyze and find ways to express your true personality through fashion, you will look and feel more confident every time you dress up.
Here are a few tips on how to choose your wardrobe pieces: The style of fashion you choose should highlight your best features. You need to be aware of your skin tone, body shape, height, and other similar features. Your skin tone will determine what colors will look good on you. Your height and weight will determine what style of clothes will emphasize your body the right way.
2. Try different styles. Borrow clothes and accessories. Trying different options from different designers is probably the easiest way to see what suits you best. Ask for opinions from friends with a good eye and listen to their feedback and advice.
18
Every time you try a new style, accessories or makeup, take photos. Try to pose in the same place and position, and preferably against a lighter background. Ensure that the entire outfit is visible in the pictures. By seeing your photos, you will get a clear idea of what looks good on you and what doesn't. You must learn to be your own critic and friend.
Colors in fashion keep changing. While chartreuse and tangerine are great for summer, shades of white and black are perfect for winter. Choose a style that goes with the season as well. Most designers launch new collections every season. Finally, it is important to be confident with your new style. Carrying the style well will definitely make you stand out of the crowd.
Put on a mini fashion show and ask your close friends and family what style they like best on you. Note their opinions and arrange for a shopping trip.
While you are in the process of choosing a style that best suits you, there is no need to go on a shopping spree. Make a clear list of what you want: shoes, clothes, jewelry, and detail every bit of it, including features like the color, material, price, etc. Making a list will help you find the right one and also ensure that you stay within your budget limits. Buy choicest clothes and accessories from designer clothing labels that will always bring out the style you desire.

TOYA
STYLES Sharing Her Passion for 21 Style & Fashion
S31: Coincidentally your last name is Styles! Did you always feel like being a stylist was something that you were born to do?
T
oya is a passionate and dynamic fashion stylist with a creative outlook and a fascinating background with an international feel. Showcasing an interest for art and design since a very tender age, Toya pursued an education as a graphic designer within the military. After separating, she set out to find a space for her passion, styling military spouses at the air base where she was stationed (Misawa, Japan) so that they could have something to wear at formal and casual events. Back in the states, Toya created a fashion styling and consulting company named Chic Divine Style, embodying her groundbreaking stylistic concept and attitude. Toya is currently represented by Rhonda Wilkins (Glam-concierge.com) and regularly blogs on various platforms, including upcoming vblog “The Styles Perspective”, coming November 2013.
TS: Actually my last name is not Styles. I already had a private profile of Facebook. So I decided when I started my business here in the states that I would use Styles to tell people what I did. Then it just caught on. I have always known I would work for myself. I grew up around fashion but did not realize that I would be a stylist. I thought I would be a fashion designer! S31: When did you discover that styling was your passion? TS: After separating from the military, my husband (he is still active duty Air Force) and I found ourselves in northern Japan. This base had every branch of the military there so from September to February, there were a lot of semi-formal and formal events. Women would approach me at these events (cause you know if I had a reason to dress up I was there) and ask me where I got my dress. It never occurred to me that women didn’t know how to measure for clothes online or even know what looked good on their body types. So I helped a friend find a dress, did her hair and make-up and was addicted when I saw her look in the mirror and smile! I realized I loved helping women feel beautiful! S31: What do you love most about what you do? TS: Making people feel confident in their clothing! S31: How do you go about creating someone’s look? What inspires you? TS: I take a very practical look at the person’s life. Is she a stay at home mom? Do she work outside the home? What are my customers activities? Do they have small children? Is this for an event? I do this because you cannot put someone who has two & three year olds in a pencil skirt and four-inch stilettos. It is not practical and they will never call you back. My clients’ lives inspire me. There are some great women and men out there giving 100% everyday to their country, to their family and to their community and it just makes me feel blessed to help them take care of them for once. S31: What’s your favorite place to shop locally and why? TS: Locally, I love JC Penny and a consignment shop called Shuffle Boutique. JC Penny because they have practical and stylish clothing at decent prices for my clients. Shuffle because you can find unique pieces that you would wear less often than foundation pieces. S31: What advice would you give someone who wants to change her look and doesn’t quite know how? TS: Use accessories first before you commit to a full overhaul of your wardrobe. You can make a pair of jeans and a t-shirt look however you want with accessories. Want something Boho? Then get a printed scarf, tie it on your head, add hoop earrings, get a beaded chain around 22you neck and some suede boots! Instant Boho without spending a fortune committing to the style!
S31: What are some basics that every woman should have in her wardrobe? TS: Great jeans. This is something to spend some money on because they will last. A nice black suit that has been tailored for your body. Dressy and casual black boots – I don’t care if you live in a warmer climate I think these are essential. S31: What’s your favorite outfit and how would you describe your style? TS: My favorite outfits are those that have different patterns and are very unexpected. I am a city girl and I love my eclectic chic style. I love patterns and black. I have been known to casually sport don leopard print jeans, a dark denim shirt and combat knee high boots. Then I might be seen wearing a black and white polka-dot mini pencil skirt with a floral top and nude heels! I love how clothes can be put together. No matter whether going to the beauty salon is an occasional treat or an ongoing necessity, it's important to find the right stylist and/or salon. It's a comforting feeling knowing that you are giving your business to someone who genuinely has your best interest at heart. Here are a few ways to find your ideal stylist.
1. Consumer’s Opinions
4. Examine Various Services
Feedback is always important. Try and meet those who have visited local beauty salons that you may be interested in. See what they suggest, whether they appreciate them or if they show any kind of hesitation. Remember, it is a matter of your beauty so don’t compromise when you choose.
See what other services the salon provides. For example, how do they treat their customers? What kind of equipment they use? What are their usual rates? How long does it take to complete your hair? These common things will help you with your salon search!
2. Visit Sites
5. Online
Gain as much information as you can. Ask nearby locals, your friends and check out different sites which display health and practical information about salons located nearby.
Browse through magazines, websites and online directories. We live in an age where most of our information comes electronically through the internet. Also make use of salon coupons that you see on billboards, in magazines, or even on salon websites!
3. Popularity Matters! In case if you have more than one choice regarding the local beauty salons, prefer the one which is most popular. Obviously, popularity can bring you to the right place you! Check to see if the salon is on yelp. Yelp almost always provides honest and consistent reviews by users and patrons. Visit yelp.com.
6. Experience on Your Own Perhaps, the best way to find a beauty salon that's right for you is to experiment. This way, you will have the opportunity to see how they operate.

Making Your House A Home 29
O
ur home is such an important part of our family’s life. Whether we work outside the home or are able to be at home, there are some basic things we can do to insure that our home is a place of refuge and security for our loved ones. Here are ten tips to help accomplish this goal:
6. Demonstrate love.
1. Keep it clean and tidy.
Our children and husbands benefit greatly when we show our love for them in various ways. My husband might not have wonderfully romantic lines to say to me, but on snowy, icy mornings, he cleans off my car and scrapes the windshield before he leaves for work. So when I leave an hour later, I don’t have to do all of this. Love is a verb.
2. Nutritious food and family dinners.
Treat your husband and children with as much respect as you would guests. Good manners are contagious. Don’t discuss them in a negative way to other people, either. Be each other’s allies.
That doesn’t mean we have to be immaculate housekeepers. If we do a daily tidy-up and a weekly housecleaning, our home life will be much more restful. Clutter is stressful. And keep the dishes caught up!
Fast food on the go is ok once in awhile, but not as a regular habit. Our children and husbands benefit from simple, nourishing meals and snacks. And having a regular, sit-down family dinner together has been shown to have many benefits.
3. Predictable routines.
Our families thrive when things are on schedule. It gives a sense of stability. There should be regular times for eating, sleeping, chores, and homework. It also helps to build responsibility in children when they know they have to fulfill their responsibilities before they play.
4. Cozy and tastefully decorated.
This does not in any way mean you house has to be magazine-beautiful. If our homes are inviting, cozy, comfortable, and decorated in a way that we and our families enjoy, that is sufficient. My living room doilies are from the 1940s and 1950s. Some were handmade. But they are pretty and I like them, so that is what I use.
5. Hospitality.
Our kids, whether they are small or young adults, need to know that their friends are welcome. When my boys were grade-school age, they would have several friends come for sleep-overs. Many times, I would wake up in the morning and step over sleeping bags filled with boys on the floor. I would usually set the table with bowls and boxes of cereal for all of them to eat when they got up. I put myself out some, but it was worth it to make their friends feel welcome, and to get to know my sons’ friends.
7. Mutual respect.
8. Words and tone of voice.
This seems like a small thing, but it can make a huge difference. Have you ever been somewhere and overheard a mother insulting or degrading her children? Or a wife speaking to her husband with contempt? Or have you been in a store, and a woman yelled at her child so loudly and harshly that you jumped yourself? We all have those days when we feel like acting like that. But if we think before we speak, following the Bible’s advice, our family relationships will be a lot more peaceful. Plus, we are setting a positive example for our children when it comes to dealing with others. Also, our voices sound much more feminine when they are soft and kind, not loud and harsh.
9. Positive attitudes toward family members.
Smile often, use encouraging words, show your confidence in them. Listen when they talk, build them up, boost their confidence. When they have failed, assure them that they have succeeded in gaining wisdom and experience. Let them know you think highly of them.
10. Lastly, keep your sense of humor.
Be able to laugh at yourself. Laughter can help everyone de-stress. Enjoy everyday moments with your family. They are your greatest treasure, your gift from God.

The Budget Fashionista’s
Top Budget Shopping Tips
by Kathryn Finney
Kathryn “The Budget Fashionista” Finney, the founder and Chief Shopping Officer of Budget Fashionista, has developed an online destination for realistic fashion advice, shopping tips and sale event information to budget conscious consumers. Lots of people ask for her top budget tips so here are a few from her budget shopping arsenal.
on trendy items. You can purchase such pieces at stores like H&M, Target , Zara, Bluefly, Urban Outfitters, etc. Go designer on classic pieces like black suits (Tahari), coats (Burberry, Max Mara), evening (Armani) and purses (Coach, Longchamp).
1. Know what looks good on you.
Pay a visit to your mother and/or grandmother. While you’re there, offer to “help” clean out their closets. You’ll be amazed at the goodies you’ll find. While visiting my grandma in Milwaukee, I discovered a vintage Coach saddle bag, dating from around 1960, in mint condition amid a box of old magazines. If you are unable to visit a relative’s closet, try having a clothing swap party with your friends. Ask everyone to bring unwanted, high-quality clothing to exchange for similar items from other party-goers.
This is the essence of a true fashionista. Just because it looks great in a magazine doesn’t mean it will look great on you. Be honest with yourself about your body. It will save you time and money.
2. Get to know the names of sales associates. Sales associates are a great source for information on upcoming sales. They might even let you use their employee discount - as happened to me once at The Gap.
3. Pay for everything with cash. This way, the satisfaction of the purchase will last longer than your next credit-card bill.
4. Head to the Outlets. Shopping at the outlets of your favorite stores and designers can save you a bundle. Some of my favorites are Off Fifth, the Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet; the St. John Knit Outlet; the Donna Karan Outlet; and the Last Call Neiman Marcus Outlet.
5. The 70/30 rule. Fashionistas with limited budgets should follow the 70/30 rule: 70 percent classic pieces, 30 percent trendy pieces. And go cheap
6. Recycle fashion.
7. Learn where and when to buy. July/August and late January/February are the best times to hit the stores for deals. Write down the names of your favorite stores, go to their Web sites, and register to receive coupons, special invitations and notifications of new products. Outlet stores are also great sources of designer goods.
8. Write a List. Making a shopping list will help you stay focused on the task at hand.
9. Locate the nearest thrift store. Thrift stores are great for quality inexpensive coats.

He pressed his thumb into the hollow of her cheek, then bent low to kiss her, exhaling life-breath into her lungs. As she stirred and reached a baby soft hand toward His face, He stood back to gauge His work. "So good," He murmured. "She's exquisite.“ He smiled, proud of His own masterpiece. I've been doing this for generations, He thought. In fact, thousands and thousands of years and yet, I've never made one like her before. Finally, reticent to send her out, He planted a parting kiss on the crown of her head. "See you soon, princess." The He let her slip through the birth canal into fragile human hands. Years went by. Every moment of her life, He watched her. Each day, he tugged her a little taller, straightened her spine, sharpened her mind and loosed her tongue. He was so pleased with her! Eyes the color of mountain peaks seared by morning sun. He especially delighted in the swirl of her thumb print. Just so. He set the metronome of her heart precisely, His signature in her breast.
32
Sometimes it hurt Him to watch her navigate the harshness of the world. Humanity could be so cruel, and so terribly wrong. He knew that corporately, they had forgotten Him, disregarded Him as creator. Even a few of those who claimed to believe in Him, denied His intentional creativity, His signature in their breasts. The day came when someone told her she should lose a few pounds - if she wanted to conform to the latest fads, wear the current flagrant creations of the most famous designers. Not long after, she learned that the guy she liked had a thing for girls with dramatic, ebony eyes. She found colored contacts, and permanent eyeliner. As she tuned her senses to the creative tenor of her peers, she began to alter the perfection of her original design. Larger breasts, whiter teeth, darker skin, smaller feet, fuller lips, a round derrière. How it hurt Him that no one, least of all His precious daughter, believed in the pure, perfection of His original design. How could they deface such an exquisite expression of His creativity, His image, His love? "When I made you, I declared that you are, 'very good'," He whispered into her ear. "You don't have to do this." But she didn't hear Him. Do you know her? I do. This was me. I heard it all, and tuned my heart to the cacophony of opinions; the world's insistence that I was not good. Everywhere I turned, someone pointed out another flaw. You're supposed to be: Line-less, ageless, pore-less, weightless, fearless, peerless, smudge-less, careless, hairless, painless and needless.
To be perfect, you should cover with makeup and perfume: Your hair color, your size, shape, lips, arms, legs, scent. We even have power makeup to survive our tears; so no one knows when the accusations of imperfection hurts. According to the world, simply nothing about me was okay, let alone a clear reflection of my God-creator. I find it funny that we incarcerate or fine people for defacing an ancient painting, but call no foul when daily we're told to intentionally alter and deface God's artistic expression in our bodies. "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. - Psalm 139: 13-14 I love the image of God knitting me together; the Genesis picture of God sculpting the first bodies from clay and dust. I wonder if Jesus was just touching up a smudge when He spit in the dirt, made clay and healed a blind man's eyes. We have been formed by the Master Creator. Let us, with Him, honor our bodies as Very Good. Abby is a blogger and freelance writer living in Georgia. With her husband being an Army officer, her frequent moves season her writing with a wide variety of experiences and observations.

Brown/Black Eyes A brown-eye works best with most colors – browns, purples, lilacs, greens, pinks, grays and more. The best colors for brown eyes are reddish orange, green, blue, teal, and golden yellow. Bronze shades and other neutral colors like dark browns, coppers and tans are also very complimentary to the brown eye.
Have you ever found yourself at a cosmetics counter in a department store, beholding a vast assortment of eye shadow colors? You probably spent hours trying to figure out what colors would look good on you. Smoky mattes, metallic brights or soft and light shades? Who has the time to try on every single shade they have available? With this quick and easy guide, you’ll be able to save yourself some time by knowing which will look good with your eye color.
GREEN EYES Green eyes come alive with eye shadows that have red and pink undertones. Soft shades of copper and peach and yellow-toned beiges, khakis, dark greens and grays. Rich violets and purples also pop on the green eye. Eye shadow colors that tend to magnify the rich hue of green eyes include the copper family, coral, apricots, and some pink tones. Deep browns can also make a dramatic statement with green eyes, although the look will be more pronounced when you use a lighter highlighting shade in the peach or pale copper family on the upper brow.

Blue Eyes Is blue your hue? You don’t have to stick with the neutral shades only. Colors that really bring out the blue in you are you are navy, grays, soft purples and silvers. Browns, coppers and peaches, plus orangeor yellow-based shades achieve an attractive look. Deep metallic tones like taupe, warm bronzes and pale golds radiate your eye color. Avoid too much pink as it will make your eyes look red.
Grey Eyes Grey on grey is an attractive combination. A smokey eye shadow look (incorporating charcoal grey and silver) gives a nice contrast to grey eyes, highlighting the eye color. Because grey is a neutral color, it will work well with soft ‘flower’ colors like lilac, rose/pastel pink or a peach shade. Bolder colors like green or red/burgundy-hues are appealing on the grey eye. Ultimately, you will want to experiment with different colors and textures to determine what looks best on your eyes.
Hazel eyes are naturally striking but it can be tricky to find shades to boost your color. Try an ontrend jade green to really make your eyes pop. A dark green can look stunning on hazel eyes. Finish off with a dab of silver in the corner of the eyes to make them sparkle. Peaches, corals and golds are also complimentary.

The busyness of business can create lots of clutter. When the sticky notes, individual sheets of paper from meetings, business cards, and folders pile up, it can almost drive many of us to a state of dysfunction. If you aren't the type of professional that thrives in clutter and it's about that time for a dose of organizational rearranging, this article is for you. Here are some tips on how to remove the clutter from your office space. 1. CLEAN, ORGANIZE AND PURGE YOUR DESK. Color code your files. For example, use orange for administrative data, blue for passwords usernames, yellow for ideas, etc. Then label them, organizing them in alphabetical order. Get rid of ripped or damaged files and replace them with new ones. 2. CREATE A TO-DO LIST. There's nothing more satisfying than checking things off your "to do" list! Make a list every night of all the things you need to accomplish the next day. Do this every night, including the weekends, so you will get in the habit of relying on your to-do list to help you get things done.
3. USE ONLY ONE CALENDAR. Do you like to use online calendars, paper/journal calendars or those on your phone? Determine which works best for you. Stick to one calendar to keep yourself on schedule and keep track of all of your daily to-dos.
information out in a clear sentence, put by your bedside, and read it every morning and every night to help inspire you to reach your goals.
6. GET RID OF OLD SUPPLIES. If you have paperclips, paper, manila folders, etc. that you aren’t using
online statements that indicate what bills you paid and charity receipts. At the end of the year, remove the contents from the box and make two piles-business and personal-for your accountant (or for yourself, if you do your own taxes). The box will be the one place you put everything that has anything to do with your taxes. It sure beats searching for the paperwork at the end of the year. 8. UPDATE YOUR CONTACT LIST AND/OR ROLODEX.
4. PLAN AHEAD. Make a note on your calendar, one week ahead of any event, about what you need to do for that event. As soon as you are aware of a new task, jot it down in your calendar of choice so that you are keeping abreast of what your busy life demands. 5. LIST YOUR GOALS. Start small. Write down your daily goals. Start out with 1 or 2 depending on the area that you want to tackle. Next, write down your goals for the month and then for the year. Be specific. Type all of that
To clear up some space and either give them away or return them to the store for credit from which they were purchased. If you buy a new printer or fax machine, donate the old one. You don't need two printers--the old one is just taking up space. This goes for everything in your office. 7. PLAN NOW FOR NEXT YEAR'S TAXES. Label a box "Next Year's Taxes" and put it in your office. This box will hold all your taxrelated documents throughout the year: bank statements, receipts for business expenses,
Clear out all the cards of people you never called last year. I can tell you that if a year goes by and you haven't contacted them, chances are, you'll never call them. If you feel you need to keep the information, put all the "maybe I'll call them one of these days" cards in a file and label it that. by Pat Bennington

S31: What made you want to start a blog? MA: After graduating college, I realized that my “life plan” of going to vet school was just not for me, so while I was looking for my true calling, I started a blog about my favorite things in fashion just to clear my mind. I never expected that my hobby was going to turn out into my full time job!
“Classy & Fabulous is my outlet to share my love of high fashion, fabulous style, and the latest beauty trends with fellow fashionistas. I keep my readers updated with the latest trends straight from the runways, but I also love to share my personal finds and obsessions as a is way to interact with my readers.”

MA: I love sharing fashion and beauty tips, fashion news (on facebook mostly), and fashion sketches with my readers. I do outfit posts but that is not the priority of the blog. Lately I have been trying to write a little more about my personal experiences, but still not sure about it because it can be a little scary to be an open book to the world. S31:
Locally, what’s your favorite place to shop and why?
MA: I love Atrium RTW. They have amazing designers that usually you can’t find in the city such as Sally LaPoint and Prabal Gurung. I also adore the taste of the buyers. The boutique is very small but every piece they have is spectacular. S31:
What is one of your most favorite fashion finds?
MA: I found a Lanvin happy bag at a MAJOR sale. It is gorgeous but the fact that I got it on sale might be another reason why I love it so much.

In this recipe, we’ve used lime curd to provide the perfect amount of pure lime flavor and the airiness of freshly whipped cream to add lightness to the otherwise heavy filling. Layering the dessert in half-pint mason jars provides a modern twist to this classic summer dessert. Serves 6 Ingredients: • 4 tablespoons butter • 10 graham crackers • 1/8 cup granulated sugar • 1 recipe lime curd (below) • 2 cups whipping cream • 1 teaspoon vanilla • ¼ cup powdered sugar • Optional garnishes: Sugared lime zest (recipe below), lime slices • Also needed: 6 half-pint (8-ounce) mason jars Directions: • Melt the butter on the stovetop over medium-low heat or microwave for 20 seconds. Place graham crackers into the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until fairly fine crumbs form. • Mix together butter, sugar and crushed crackers. Set aside. • Whip the cream on medium low speed until it thickens and forms soft peaks. Add the vanilla and sugar, and continue whipping until stiff peaks form. • Reserve 1 1/2 cups of whipping cream to top desserts. Fold the lime curd into the remaining cream with a rubber spatula, being careful not to deflate the cream. • Reserve about ¼ cup of the graham cracker mixture. Place 2-3 tablespoons of the remaining graham cracker mixture into each jar. Top with lime mixture, filling to within ½ inch of the top of each jar. Sprinkle with a bit of the reserved graham cracker mixture. Finish with a dollop of reserved whipping cream sprinkled with sugared lime zest and a slice of lime, if desired. Lime Curd Ingredients: • 6 large egg yolks • zest of two limes • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (2-3 limes) • 12 tablespoons sugar • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold, cut into pieces Directions: Combine egg yolks, lime zest, lime juice and sugar in a medium saucepan. Whisk to combine. Set over medium heat, and stir constantly with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, scraping the sides and bottom of pan as you stir. Cook until mixture is thick enough to coat back of wooden spoon, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat. Add butter, one piece at a time, stirring until well incorporated. Transfer mixture to a medium bowl. Lay a sheet of plastic wrap directly on the surface of the curd to avoid a skin from forming. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until firm and chilled, at least 1 hour. Can be made 1-2 days ahead. Keep refrigerated. Sugared Lime Zest Ingredients: • Zest of one lime • 1 tablespoon sugar Directions: Place lime zest in a shallow bowl. Cover with sugar. Allow to sit for an hour before using as garnish.
