this May Bank Holiday weekend!

Following on from the huge success of last year’s ‘Street Eat’, the exciting, free event returns on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May from 11am until 9pm in Rochdale Town Hall Square.
Organised by Rochdale Town Centre Management and supported by Rochdale Borough Council, there will be an array of stalls from the town’s thriving food and drink establishments. You’ll be able to try and buy as many small dishes as you like!
Town Centre Manager, Paul Ambrose, commented: “The idea for the event is simple, in that local food and drink businesses set up stalls around the Town Hall Square and showcase what they have to offer. Last year the event was attended by over 3000 people with over 10 local food and drink businesses taking part. We will build on the success of last year’s event by increasing the number of local businesses that attend and offering additional family orientated activities. We aim to provide something for everyone.”
“Last year’s event attracted regular customers, local residents and visitors and portrayed the town in a positive light which increased the chances of those attending wanting to return to the town again.”
Once again this year’s event will be staged by Rochdale Town Hall, adjacent to the River Roch, utilizing the paved area around the Gracie Fields Statue. With a traditional set up, a dining area in the centre, bunting and lights, it’s set to be an
unforgettable weekend. There will also be free entertainment as you bask in the relaxed ambience of al fresco dining!
