Five inspirations with Adele

INSPIRED

Adele Bevacqua: an artist heavily influenced by her time in India, brings a love for colour throughout her work. We asked this local Brisbane artist, whose work can be seen at Gallery Raye, to gather her five biggest inspirations in life.

1. Fitzroy Island. The most magical place! I have strong memories from my childhood of painting the landscape here that will forever influence me. 2. Australian views. Having a view anywhere I go is my priority. Whether it’s a view of trees, the ocean or just the neighbour’s flowering garden. I grew up in Hobart overlooking the Derwent river, you can’t beat that view. 3. Flowers, fresh air, and family. Simple, beautiful things.

4. Ben Quilty. An Australian icon, both for his art and his activism. 5. Pyjamas! I love pj’s so much that I’ve got my own line of them coming out later this year. Watch this space!
