EXCELLENCE BY DESIGN
Winnipeg-based Windeck has been building backyard dreams for decades. Today, the family business, operated by Mel and Judy Dueck alongside sons Brandon and Jordan, is a leader in top-shelf deck projects with full professional design capability, skilled in-house crews, and a product assortment that is second to none.
“We have built our reputation for over 30 years where we listen to customers, design to the highest quality stan- dards and build decks that last the test of time and perform in our tough climate,” says Windeck founder and president Mel Dueck. He mentions that their longevity in the market has earned the company both trust and recognition among Manitobans looking to create exterior paradises.

Dueck remarks that earlier this year, they flew down to Florida to participate in the North American Deck and Railing Association Design Awards. Along with having won several

awards in previous years, Windeck was once again honoured with five awards for designs, including the top award for first place in deck design and build.
“Windeck is a company from a small city in Canada that beat out larger players across all of North America to win the top award. It shows we are on the right track. We are being recognized by our peers for our outstanding workmanship, even by those in another country,” says Dueck.
He points out that Windeck’s business model seeks to offer the best value but not the lowest price. “Our goal is to build the best without compromise. This commitment has made us leaders in residential, cottage and commercial projects.”
Some of the products that have helped Windeck make its name are engineered S.T.A.R. aluminum railings that are strong and goodlooking, Wolf PVC decking that offers durability beyond similar composite products, and DURADEK vinyl decking solutions. Windeck also offers

aluminum pergolas and retractable awnings.
“Our teams also design outdoor kitchens, fireplaces and fire-tables, roof systems and waterfalls. We also do privacy and wind walls that are cutting edge,” says Dueck.
For do-it-yourself deck projects, Windeck has built a considerable supply offering. “We have one of the largest inventories in Canada to help curb against supply chain challenges,” he says, inviting people to visit their showroom at 937 Redonda St.
Over the past 30 years, Windeck has grown to be Manitoba’s deck leader by following a simple dictate – Do it once, do it right.
