A dining experience inspired by a beautiful collection of still life fruit paintings and the autumn view from the gallery window was held at Gibraltar Hotel in Bowral last weekend. I created a candlelit banquet table setting for sixty five guests of the hotel. We gathered flowers and exceptionally ripe fruits with unbelievable colours from the local markets and went foraging in the Highlands for berries, grasses, vines and leaves. We topped off the setting with hundreds of peacock feathers from a local bird who had just conveniently dropped all his feathers and as nature is perfect in every way, everything naturally came together perfectly for the event.
