Curves Alannah Mason I have always found the female form so very beautiful and after being the subject of a photo shoot, I realised that I was not comfortable in exposing the beauty within me. So I present this series of abstract female forms which reflect the hypnotic curves of a woman, her hidden expressions, intense emotionality through colour, femininity and perfectly fallen strands of hair in a raw and pure form. Each piece has been created with acrylic on canvas. I had such a wonderful time playing with colour and contours, enhancing features and bringing each model to life.

Le Petit Echo de la Mode Hormazd Narielwalla
Hormazd Narielwalla is an artist who creates collages using bespoke tailoring patterns from the famous Savile Row tailors Dege & Skinner.
His latest production mines a seam of precious material hidden between the pages of Le Petit Echo de la Mode. Published in Paris between 1897 and 1983, Le Petit Echo de la Mode was a popular fashion and lifestyle magazine which made fashion accessible to the stylish Parisian housewife. Within it, loose and often discarded, Narielwalla plucks a streak of radical abstraction. The magazine contains tailoring patterns that, for efficiency’s sake, layer the life-sized templates of entire garments onto a single sheet of paper. Each facet of the garment is encoded in an intricate web of lines, dots and numbers. Narielwalla challenges us to view this sheet not as a means to an end but as an end in itself. Shattering the female form into precise overlapping facets flattened, not as views of a subject, but as the object itself. Narielwalla makes the radical potential loose in Le Petit Echo de la Mode real. He cuts delicate sheets of coloured paper with the pride of a mother. The sheet of paper instructs the housewife, and the artist, to make itself. Predating Futurism and prefiguring Cubism, Le Petit Echo de la Mode abstracted the female subject to a degree more radical and precise than the highest aspirations of the 1912 manifetso Du “Cubisme�. Narielwalla discovers once discarded but now groundbreaking artworks that were begging to become real and loved.

Is it me or does it only seem we are on this earth to hurt whilst we earn to be considered a worthwhile, while I walk for miles thinking how it will be to have my first child, but let me tell you I’m hectic, give me a name I’ll disrespect it, injection of the mind power trickling down your spine, controlling your footsteps but you can’t walk yet you just talk you pest louder than a hornets nest, I’m trying to perfect what I’ve been blessed with this message to replenish the minds of our nation we need to save our souls from these dark black holes, they want to swallow us up destroy our life goals and dreams in parts of the world they living in obscene scenes conflicting it seems surrounded by thugs on substances selling guns drugs and girls, I can’t keep up with the ways of the world the media’s destroying the minds of these little boys and girls opening them up to adult life when their only 12, people think its cool to fit in, are they kidding? There’s something in their heads that is missing I just wish the kids of the future will listen and learn from our mistakes because at the moment our society is a p******e, one government that control how our lives stay freedom of speech don’t mean nothing these days, hold on... I best watch what I say!

My concept and idea was to transform myself and three friends into new versions of well known Super Heroes. The illustrated presentation of the characters against an amazingly cool array of psychedelic colourful kaleidoscopic backgrounds, created through the elements of the universe of each hero. The subjects chose their favourite hero to portray; models Ricki Hall and Billy Huxley chose Wolverine and Batman respectively and great friend Lorran Garcia, landed his alias Aquaman. For me it could be none other than the best Badass Superhero of all... SUPERMAN!
