Troy Williams The Good Guys have expanded their marketing mix to include BillboardXTRA for the first time and have not looked back! The locally owned Townsville based electrical retailer have utilised billboards and in particular the digital elements of BillboardXtra to really enhance and attract new audiences to their store and website. They have taken advantage of the multiple digital messages by promoting the 24/7 online component of the store outside of trading hours.

“In the past consumers have bought clothes and shoes etc online, but big ticket electrical items were more favoured to be purchased in store once the consumer could touch and feel the product. This way, they can do their research at night online, then buy online, or could come in store and purchase” she said.

The locations of the billboards have allowed The Good Guys to reach a far greater and diverse audience, but still being specific in who they are targeting, like for example the new housing development areas. The Good Guys approached world brands Fujitsu and Panasonic to join with them in cross promoting their products. Kelly said
“Fujitsu was blown away with the quality of the product and what was produced”. The Good Guys have received positive feedback about the billboards and Kelly really recommends the digital component due to its flexibility.
