BIG MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL (BMMF) Big mountain music festival is the yearly music festival in Thailand located in the mountainous area in northern east Thailand. It’s the biggest music festival in Thailand which has 25000-55000 audiences for each year. 48 hours events. BMMF occupied 1 km2 area in bonanza, Pak Chong, Thailand. In BMMF there are many kinds of architecture and installation that interpret comtemporary Thai Society. As the ongoing annual project BMMF has many items that we’ve created. Some of them were chosen to be shown in this portfolio in order to demonstrate our point of view designing such an event. The project is the colaboration of Supermachine Studio and Team Jiro. we prepare almost a year before the production period. I’ve mainly participated in the design process with BMMF for all 5 years. Almost every parts of the projects we have worked on it. 6-7 Stages, from big to small stages, Big Shading Structure, Market, Stores, Tent Sites, Toilets, Bus Stop even the rubber Stamp.
BIG MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL
Unlike other practical architectural projects that we've been doing in our practice, BMMF is more out of limitation and restriction that needed to deal with when we do the design. The approach to the project is some what different. In BMMF we deal with the open field area and performing of music for audiences who come to get new experiences. We've designed each items in variety ways, the stages change every years depends to the theme of the festival that we've created with the concert team, The other items were designed by different stories, some of them were just from the mimic of the things that were happened in Thailand for examples like the market that named after the one that was burned during the protest and so we rebuild it here, some were just to mock the situation of Thai politics, some were just built for the homo-people party, some were from our imagination when we were kids being afraid of UFO so we brought one in here as a stage and many more that can't be all explained here so i chose some of the works that i think should be able to expose my idea of work in this festival to show in this portfolio. The site is an open field surrounded by mountainous area (which later be took over by the racing circuit and so on we designed the festival on it). The 1000 sq.m. was planned to be served an expected amount of 50000+ audiences with the performing of almost every kinds of music. BMMF is more like temporary city that happened over 2 days 2 nights and gone. The audiences come and live here for 48 hours in the city that we created.
KARMAR MARKET V1-5 BMMF BIG MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL
The Word “Karmar” is the Thai word it’s the name of the specific kind of fabric that Thai people used alot in local Karmar Market is designed to be the shading area structured with bamboo which is can locally find in Pak Chong. It was first inspired by “Dhoby Ghat” the largest laundry in the world located in India. The characteristic of it has changed and developped over 5 years according to the context and masterplanning of the BMMF. it serves as the shading for several activities in the festival, mostly as the shade area for the restaurant and different kinds of shops. Standing big connecting 2 mainstages together creating circulation amd in the same time providing resting area for the audiences. Karmar Market has different shapes each year. The size differs from 150 meters to 250 meters long and around 8 to 20 meters wide with 6 to 12 meters height. It’s consisted of Thoudsands of bamboo trees and 2600 fabrics that created shading under it. I have mainly incharge designing and developing the Karmar market from Structure to Lighting Design and also working with the master planning of the events. This portfolio will show briefly on each of them and emphasizing on version 2 and 5.

KARMAR MARKET V.2 BMMF BIG MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL Karmar Market 2 is 250 m long bamboo structure. The concept derived from KM market 1 as a long giant snake bone structure standing along the main road of the festival filled with 2500 Karmar fabrics creating shading for audiences but it has developed to be a little bit more advance in the form. it was 100 meters longer than the first one. it was began with 6 m. height with 6 m. width then gradually transformed to be big fat space in the middle at 4 m. height and 20 m. width in order to create the resting point in the middle according to the master plan that it happened to be close to the restaurant areas and also there were many small shops and stalls around there from CD shop, sourvenior shop even the barber.

Karmar Market version 05 was from the lastest year of BMMF (2013). It's the 90 x 90 m. cross-shaped plan bamboo structure. The form of it got an inspiration from the flowers, the struture shaped up as a 2d flower like boundary then dropped in the middle to be very low space. The structure was built up in the slope terrain connecting two main stages together creating circulation through it and also a resting spot for audiences. it was surrounded by the shops and restaurants and the massaging area was put in the middle of it.

COW STAGE
is on of the biggest stage in BMMF. it has the 16 meters high low-technology giant robot which callled Mr.Steak. He performs with different characteristics according to the diverse line up of artists performing in the event. He was designed to perform many different actions that to communicate with audience, he can flip and changes his eyes, wag the tail, releasing smoke and bubble of his nose, shaking head and mimic the look of singer on stage. All operated by 5 men inside of him. Mr. Steak is basically inspired by the Hero Robot in the TV when we was kids. He was built by the simple iron structure having 5 men operated inside during the 48 hours show.

SANSIRI’S WYNE SALES GALLERY Sales Office Building Built up area : 720 m2 Location: Bangkok Thailand
Bangkok has been witnessing one of the biggest condominium boom in its history for the past 4 years because of the success of its mass transit expansion. Along the sky-train line, architectural typologies are changing rapidly according to rise of the land price. Sansiri is one of the top land developers who is constantly re-define themselves and their products. Wyne is one of Sansiri’s latest product, a 31 story high building in deep red color targeting to attract 400+ younger generation families who live their lives with attitude and passion. Wyne started up passionately by redefining its sales office. Adding on to the sample of show flats, the customers can experience a subtle kind of lifestyle visiting the sales office. It is like coming to a living gallery in a park surrounded by urban elements. The typical reception hall + office + mock up room is compressed into one chocolate bar-like box measured 30 meter long and 10 meter wide. We would like create a very simple yet challenging piece of architecture by lifting the long span box up just high enough that people can access from the space below. The supporting structure are placed in the middle accommodating the main staircase which is the main entrance to the reception hall above. This makes the building spanning 12 meters in both sides. The balancing structure cladded in
brown aluminum composite panel is almost like an alien spaceship just touching the earth with its ladder. It has a transparent cylinder tube above of the entrance bringing in the natural light from the sky signifying main access as well as visually connecting the terrace and the gallery level. Most of the windows are tangram-like geometries. This is to emphasize the characteristic of the main building in which the main highlight is the sharp age triangular “panoramic view” living room situated right in front of the building. Part of this room is also built with steel structure cantilevering out from the gallery to the back garden. The customer can have a glimpse of the visual panorama with the exact type of window frames as what they are going to buy.

Structural Axonometric
The idea of creating spaceshift like building hovering on the ground was not only challenging for the structural work but does it also the way we deal with the elevation and function design to hideaway the revealing of truss structure that we wanted it to be disappear. Wyne was one of the project that i’ve worked on the structural designing / planning and elevation design mainly. The 12 m. cantiliver each side from center supported by mega truss steel strucure maximum sizing at 40x40 cm. leaving the spacing between structure that happened to be use as the openning to landscape.

TUKCOM IT MALLS Location: Sriracha/Cholburi/Udonthani Thailand Architects: Supermachine Studio Facade renovation Project
PROJECT DESCRIPTION : TUKCOM IT Malls facade designing are one of the main part that i’ve mainly incharged on designing and working on the structural part among most of the projects i’ve done in Supermachine Studio. As an original local brand I.T Mall in Thailand TUKCOM I.T. Malls or TK run form generation to generations and stayed together with people for long time. TK were around Thailand in many provinces and we’ve been having opportunities to re-design and work on all of them. We’ve done all the exterior renovation and also the interiors but this portfolio will illustrate on the Facade Designing on Sriracha which i’ve mainly worked on ; Sriracha, Cholburi and Udonthani respectively. TK Sriracha was the second of TK series that has come to redesigning work but we’ve finished it first as a renovation of old building whilst the other two are built from ground zero. Once TUKCOM, as a brand of mall that gather all technological gadgets, has been established among local consumer at large, they want to facelift their original design of the building to something that reflects the characteristics of the products being sold in the mall. TUKCOM as a brand has already been something that people remember. Now they would like people to recognize its building as well. TUKCOM Sriracha is one of the first 3 buildings we came up with Black & White pixel façade concept (the other 2 are in Cholburi and Udornthani). Existing building images

The 1,200 square meter faรงade is undulated and divided into 765 economical triangular pixels. The black, white and mirror finished aluminum composite panels are distributed through outs in random algorithm. Framing by the dark red aluminum panel, the existing advertisement billboard has been expanded along the side faรงade to the front face marking the main entrance of the building. A lot of existing building skin are still intact but refurbished. TUKCOM Sriracha is the prototype project for the new TUKCOMs that will be built in the near future, not to be exactly the same but to share certain characteristics for better recognition as a brand.

TUKCOM CHOLBURI 2nd of the series Location: Cholburi Thailand Architects: Supermachine Studio Facade renovation Project
CHOLBURI
Tukcom Cholburi was firstly begun designing in all Tk series but it was finished the second after we have decided to go with the black & white pixel facade. In Tk Cholburi i've mainly incharged working on the facade construction and details. The facade is 60 meters tall from ground in order to get the TK logo visible from far away according to the site. The facade has been worked to stand tall showing itself to the street. The facade consisted of 5 different types of modules cladded in black and white ACP. Openning were put around the top of the facade to decrease windload.
UDONTHANI
Tukcom Udonthani was the third finished in the series of TK. In this project, the facade was inspired by the design of TK Sriracha. The design method of this brach facade was the same as TK Sriracha but it took a bigger area according to the size also the materials are all the same which are aluminium composite, white, black and mirror finish. The other part is the west side facade which covered the parking space of the mall which all covered by the mirror finised aluminium composited facade ventilated by random triangular shape openning. As in the designing of it i've supervised the design of the project from the design part to the construction process.

Layout Plan showing Relationship between Superbowl Project and Nakornsawan City
Thailand is a country at risk of water disaster both draught and flood. Considering its size, the country has a great length of rivers in its water network, specially the central delta. Together with monsoon behavior around the region, Thailand has always been worried about more than less water to use. But delirious sprawl of cities and irresponsible agriculture lands trigger huge imbalance of water flow; insufficient to use during dry season and larger scale flood during rainy season. Nakornsawan
Perspective View from the city river to the project
Superbowl project is the research project that I've worked on in the Supermachine Studio. The project was done during the great flooding time in Thailand. We've traveled through different sites in the country to collect information and understand the different typologies that got effected by the flooding crisis. We've come up with the proposal of the urbanized hydraulic device that would help the situation also be the alternative ways of living. The project is the reservoir that located on the flooding site. The outer shell of the reservoir embeded the dwelling units and the green spaces while inside is the step rice farm space which will be in used during the released of the water inside reservoir. In this project, I've incharged on many parts of the detailed design and data collection also publication of the research book at the final step.
SUPERBOWL PROJECT
Hypothetical Project / City extension poputable massive hydraulic tool Location: Nakornsawan
Nakornsawan In this proposal, we use Nakornsawan as a location to implement our vision of a giant hydraulic tool in the network. The city is a typical Thailand’s city locating by 2 rivers Ping and Nan. It is usually flood every year but in 2011 the water broke the protecting levee into the city’s center. The whole town of Nakornsawan sank into one meter plus deep water. Our vision is to place the new WATER city in between the two rivers and slowly generate new way of living for Nakornsawan’s people. We propose to build a 20 km. long soil hill in closed shape in between 2 rivers in the East of the city of Nakornsawan. The 150 meter high hill will form a giant water reservoir capable of managing 1,500 million m3 (15% of Bhumipol dam) water. The massive water device will work together with other devices in the network sucking in water from the rivers during monsoon season with 3 giant pumps at 180million m3/day. It will slowly release the water out during dry season keeping the part of the water for 5.85 million m2 agriculture on the inner surface of the reservoir itself.
SUPERBOWL PROJECT
Hypothetical Project / City extension poputable massive hydraulic tool Location: Nakornsawan
The outer surface of the bowl will be 40% covered with forest of diverse species. In time, people will populate and urbanize the outer surface of the hill in specific area without harming the fully grown forest. The new city will be thin but continuous one running up and down the surface of the hill allowing the residents to be close to the forest. In our vision, the city is one continuous architecture netting on the giant water device. Its structure will be standing on the soil to strengthen the reservoir as a whole. The new architecture is a vast 28.3 million m2 of mix-use programs (from house to school, cinema, market to government facilities) able to inhabit half a million people, the size of downtown Nakornsawan itself. Super bowl is a sustainable city of its own as it has power sources from wind turbine, water, hydro-generator, bio-gas and dye-synthesized solar cell installed on all of its surface. Hydroponic planting system is also a built-in element on the whole building skin. People will plant their own consuming vegetable while traditional terrace rice planting will be allowed one crop a year inside the reservoir. In this city, agriculture still exist but in much more responsible and water-efficient way.
Less cars are allowed in the new city, parkings are distributed along the band in nodes. The residents use cars just to travel to other cities. In Project kingkong, they will use 3 lines of in ground Metros. 3 levels of public transportation connect people in the city via 3 interchange stations on each side of the peripheries. On top level, which is the water level, people will travel with boats. Public facilities like parks or sport stadiums are floating elements on water including airport.
YIM HUAI KHWANG HOSTEL
Recently a young couple came to our office telling us that they would like to leave a routine job and start their own new business. They told us about their dream to have a small hostel chain offering compact but super comfortable beds for travellers of different ages. They named their dream project “YIM”, meaning “SMILE” in Thai. The very first one is Yim Huai Khwang, the district where the hostel situates, and there will be few more to come. Their primary move is to take over the 20+ year old row house and transform it into a 16 room pilot project. The building was rent and transformed into a condominium sales office before.
BUDGET DESIGN HOTEL Location : Huai Khwang
Our approach of design is to reveal the original modernist facade, make the opening to the rooms as open as possible and use a lot local materials to create elements in the project in a very hands-on way. A few in the projects are to be hand-made by the owner as well as us, the architects. Through out the time line, the transformation of the building is like Bruce Wayne is making his batman costume by himself while practicing his Kung-fu skill. With limited budget, much of the design of exterior and interior has to be done by revealing the building’s texture and project the new life onto it, mostly with colors and sometimes with collage of images. Bamboo partitions are added outside to give privacy to the rooms while adding different texture to the brutally dark facade while interior scheme are all Mediation Space over time vibrant spaces.

Saatchi&Saatchi Office
To enhance the social atmosphere and encourage staff’s creativity and imagination, the office Saatchi & Saatchi advertising of Bangkok had been renovated to an innovative and exciting workplace, which everyday life objects were used to inspire schematic ideas. The office is separated into two zones: the creative zone and the managing zone.
1 4
The creative zone was designed to be open and bright where people can communicate broadly, share ideas and get inspired together as it was important for them to work as a family. On the other side, the managing zone has a darker tone atmosphere yet with colorful decorations in order to show that they too need excitement at work. In between, their lies a playful trophy wall and a bicycle wall for passer-by and facility zone with pink colored walls to create liveliness for the lifeless programs. Each component was designed to serve the requirement and function of the office with the purpose of making them fun and useful yet familiar. By twisting the function of everyday life objects and exploit them further than their standard means such as the bicycle meeting table that is able to separate to two smaller tables, this can be fun and appropriate to different uses. Another item is the counter table on wheels located at the front lobby; it has an imagery of a bus where it can function as a moving café/bar/counter that can compliment the living areas as well being a typical “Front desk”. As the intention is to twist identities of the objects in a working life, we created meeting pods that imitate a train seating and an enlarged armchair. The pod gives privacy and a sense of difference between inside and outside. Also, instead of a squared message board hanging on a wall, we decided to give it a new identity as an office monster message board that covers the entire one side of the creative zone.

BU LOUNGE
BANGKOK UNIVERSITY STUDENT LOUNGE Location : BANGKOK UNIVESITY RANGSIT CAMPUS There have been a lot of discussions about todays’ education whether it happen in classrooms, libraries, homes, cafes etc. when knowledges have been way easier to access in the era of internet and social networks. Schools and universities are adapting their environment to the new epoch. Bangkok University Student Lounge (BU Lounge aka Imagine Lounge) is among the pilot projects for that adaptation. The lounge is located underneath the multi-story lecture rooms and auditoriums in the brand new Bangkok University Landmark compound. When the university board has decided that the compound should be mainly for students, the space that used to be professor office is reprogramed to be the lounge that accommodates a variety of student activities. This will be where students spend a lot of time in. It is a “youngsters’ ecology.” Big portion of the lower floor of the lounge is what called the “Reading cave”. Thousand of OSB ribs form porous rooms for different forms of use, from individual reading to small group tutoring to large group discussion. In front of the cave is the “Big sofa” where the pixel units can be formed in several configurations for large/small crowd, formal/relaxing use. Almost all items in the lounge are designed to be highly flexible and hinting creative manipulations.

View From Multi-Purposed Seating Area to the relaxing, Working Area on the First Floor, Cave like space divided into mini subspaces served for each groups of Students The space on the upper level is for more dynamic activities. It is a village for a break from study. There are 2 huts on this floor, the polka-dot pink one protruding from the edge of deck is a karaoke house and the wooden one is the music rehearsal room that can be opened in case the students would like to organize small events. Around the huts are play areas filled up with re-invented items like a super-long pool table (with adjustable holes), giant dart (which no one can miss the target), rounded pingpong table, pole dance corner, girls’ make-up counter and Kungfu style stress release area. Students on both floors are connected by network of holes. There is one hole with glass for visual connection, one openable for drink and beverage ordering, one with fireman pole in the center for circulation and one with periscope goggle for observation. Physically these 2 decks are connected with 2 staircases; one is the step Manga (Japanese comics) shelves and the spiral staircase in the giant bear shell. Using the same principle, “it is meant to be re-invented”, the bear sculpture is graphically decorated as a panda for the moment but planned to be creatively changed to different characters every semester by students. MERCURY VILLE : This Shopping mall is located in the central bangkok, the building itself is the 23 stories office-rental building. Only the first 4 stories was abandoned for years before the renovation took place. The design approach is to give the area a little bit of kicked in. We choose to use the red color to give a spice in the middle of colorless scenery of this city area. Restaurants and shops are put together as a small houses cluttered in village. Each shop has individual openning to the street. The openning protuded and blended in under the continuality of aluminum facade . In the night each windows glow and dance along the lives in the city surrounded.

The facade materials is custom made from the factory. It is 4 mm thick solid aluminium powder coated into 2 tones of glossy red color. The facade was constructed from the factory and carried to the site to assemble. It was divided into small parts along with the different shape of windows. First Floor is mostly curtain wall as to open and connect to the public walkway around to create flow in and out of the space inside. There are 3 main entrances from both the street and the walkway above which blended with the form of the facade. I was mainly incharged in this project from the very first stage of design to the finish of the project. The work duration took one and half year to complete. In the design part I work mainly on the facade design, space design and also the landscape design. In the construction part I worked in most of all aspects in sites untill completed.

MATERIAL NETWORK Master Thesis Project : AADRL Nahmad Bhooshan Studio Research based on Social network study, additive manufacturing and co-living
Project Description This project is the group research project at AADRL in Shajay Bhooshan studio. In the brief we look at the future of living. In this project we’ve researched in various aspects including social network, architectural geometry and robotic fabrication. Our group has focused on the additive manufacturing using compressive structure which performs in specific behavior. The geometry of architecture is related to the aspect of the digital fabrication and following the goal to served the mass-customizable spaces for specific communities. The research were looking at the specific co-living type of live-work in London. As the community consists of different users that come with different needs. Starting by extracting the social networks into graphs that capture the data structure of user’s requirements; dimensions, basic functions, neighbor preferences, working space preferences, etc. Then the aggregation algorithm comes to play aparts creating primitive geometry layout that satisfies all the needs within the constrains given within 3 dimensional spaces. The geometry and fabrication processes are implemented accordingly to form architectural articulation and architectonics that 3d printing can provided. The other part of the research is the hands-on fabrication that we’ve created catalogues of study of forms and printing techniques that 3d-printing is capable to do and also we’ve tried to extend the possibilities and overcome current day constrains to archieved multi spatial qualities and form architecture that custom-tailored to different needs and purposes.
Project Structure
aggregation based on relational model and growth logic.
The research is broken up into three levels of enquiry: Organization, which deals with the larger aggregation of a building; Unit, which looks at the home of individual households; Construction, which seeks to bring everything into one structural process.

End-Effector Design Over the course of our experiments we have developed a number of extruders for clay. Starting out with a pneumatic system coupled with a progressive cavity pump, we have slowly simplified the mechanism to only a pneumatic chamber. Currently, a motorized version is developed, because it would allow for the easy swapping of cartridges.

PROTOTYPE RESEARCH / AUTODESK BUILDSPACE BOSTON, USA During the summer of 2017, we were invited to participate in a 3 week long residency at the Autodesk Buildspace in Boston. Since before then we mainly worked on the design and concept side, it was our objective to push the fabrication side. Given the time constraints, we focused on developing connection details. Assuming that a monocoque print is impractical, how would printed pieces fit together?

MUMBAI MIXUSED Ongoing competition project Submission date 30 April
Generative Stratergy
Typology Study Instead of discreet combination of Koli and Worli people, we propose a non-strata combination of different type of housings. The housing types consist of: - Koli Housing | Half area is pre-built for the accommodation, while the other will be terrace for Koli everyday-activities, such as fish drying and net repairing, and further expansion and adaptation. - Condominium | The housing type for single, office workers who have vibrant lifestyle. - Row house | The row house type that combine different activities into the tower, for example restaurant and shop, thus add another level of relationships between public and private area. - House / Public Amenity | This type will house the big program requirement that provide big open space, such as private housing and public amenities.
