HE Cagayan de Oro city government is seeking anew for foreign funding of its reclamation master plan after it failed to secure a loan from the World Bank, an administration official said on Thursday.

“We learned from our acting City Planning and Development Officer Ramil Balquin that the city was unable to qualify for funding from the International Finance Corp., (IFC) the financing window of the World Bank. So the City Reclamation Authority decided to seek funding from other institutions like JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) or the Export-Import Bank of South Korea for our reclamation master plan,” Councilor Edgar Cabanlas said.
