An atom is the defining structure of an element, which cannot be broken by any chemical means. A typical atom consists of a nucleus of Positively-charged Protons Neutral Neutrons Negatively-charged Electrons Electrons orbiting this nucleus. However, an atom can consist of a single proton .The number of protons defines the identity of an atom or its element All materials are composed of basic building blocks known as atoms.

Most materials expand at high temperatures and contract at low temperatures.

Ceramics can withstand high temperatures, are good thermal insulators, and do not expand greatly when heated.

When the burner is fired on the burner air inside the balloon is warmed so the air density is lower , it expands and needs more space, therefore it stretches out the balloon. when the burner is in off condition the air is cooled and the air density becomes higher and the balloon contracts and needs less space, so the balloon deflates. The mass of air remains constant inside the balloon, so this shows that the warm air requires more space and is less dense than cool air.

When the burner is on, it will continue to rise, whereas it will lose altitude when the burner is switched off. However, the balloon definitely won’t come crashing down to the ground, since the air inside will never escape from the mouth of envelope, because Buoyancy Force makes it rise.In order to return to the ground, the pilot needs to open the parachute valve (a circle of fabric that can be opened) at the top-most region of the envelope by pulling an attached chord and letting off inner hot air.

There are three factors we need to consider to understand this concept 1)Displacement 2)Density and gravity 3)Buoyancy force What happens when ship’s hull hits the water first of all it lands in the water gravity wants to push it all the way down to the bottom of the ocean however for us to float we have to think a thing called displacement. When an object is goes into the water the water will attempt to go somewhere else thats why u drop a ice cube into the cup of water the level will rise the water is spreading around trying to find a place to go. There is a force called buoyancy force a basically what happens is water is trying to return to its point of origin so for ship when it goes into the water gravity is pushing it down but because the water has been displaced the buoyancy force is pushing the water back up but what happens when object is too heavy will it still float for heavier object we will need more displacement thats why container ships are so huge(wide) the bigger the ships haul the more water will pushed out of the way .

Density of boat Density of water

Buoyancy effect

submarine they actually intake water at the front and back end that area is called main ballast tank so they go deeper this is because water density is heavy as well but for them to rise they have to blow out all the water out of their tanks . when your haul cracked thats why water seeps in . Note : If u have a rock with too much of weight with not enough displacement it will sink.

The warmer water is ,the faster its molecules move .As the molecules speed up,volume expands.

satellite measurements tell us that over the past century, the Global Mean Sea Level (GMSL) has risen by 4 to 8 inches (10 to 20 centimeters). However, the annual rate of rise over the past 20 years has been 0.13 inches (3.2 millimeters) a year, roughly twice the average speed of the preceding 80 years.
