ABOUT Kelvin Grove, 4059
The Agents
Kelvin Grove is an inner northern suburb of Brisbane which is named after an early property in the area which took its name from Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow, Scotland. Nestled in the hills behind Brisbane’s CBD, homes here are a mix of traditional Queenslanders, post-war workers cottages as well as some unit blocks and increasingly more modern apartment blocks.
Alan Campbell, Principal 0414 777 338 Alan continues to forge a widespread reputation for his extremely high level of service, honesty, and expertise within the Real Estate industry. As a resident of the inner western and northern suburbs for nearly a decade, he proudly promotes the area as being a great place to live, work and play.
The eastern edge of the suburb backs onto the Victoria Park Golf Course, the southern part of the suburb (closest to the city) is dominated by a mixed-use urban development - Kelvin Grove Urban Village – and it is bounded by Windsor road to the west and Enoggera Creek to the north.
With a sales background of over 14 years in residential property under major franchise groups, Alan has a wealth of knowledge and experience. To him the satisfaction of being a real estate agent comes from getting contracts together and sharing in his clients' delight. He loves working with people and values the importance of regular communication.
Being so close to the city and with excellent schools and entertainment options, Kelvin Grove is perfect for professionals with children. Families move here to be close to Kelvin Grove State College’s schools of excellence, and the Grove’s post-war houses are perfect for university student share-housing. Students from prep to grade 12 can study at Kelvin Grove State College, which has strong links with the Queensland University of Technology Kelvin Grove campus. KGSC hosts a number of schools of excellence – including dance, art and design, music, aviation, engineering and sport – which draw exceptionally talented students (and their families) from across the State. Following the closure of the Gona Barracks in 1998, the 7 hectares (17 acres) site was used as the basis of an urban renewal program resulting in the Kelvin Grove Urban Village which integrates the Kelvin Grove campus of Queensland University of Technology with residential and commercial buildings. The Urban Village was officially opened on 24 November 2003. QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus includes a Creative Industries Precinct, which is Australia’s first site dedicated to experimentation and commercial development in the creative industries. It includes galleries, performance spaces and Australia’s largest billboard, which projects impressive public art. Kelvin Grove is also home to the La Boite Theatre Company, the second largest theatre company in Queensland. According to the 2011 Census there were 6,018 people living in the suburb with a median age of 27. Major features of the area include Queensland University of Technology (Kelvin Grove Campus), Roundhouse Theatre, Bancroft Park, Grey Gums Park, McCaskie Park, Kulgun Park, Kundu Park and Kelvin Grove State College.
As well as having established a personal portfolio of investment properties, Alan plays an active role on several Body Corporate Committees giving him a real understanding of the wide variety of issues facing property owners. Prior to real estate, Alan worked in hospitality and office management where he acquired invaluable experience working with people from all walks of life. He credits his success in the real estate industry to his ethical business practices, attention to detail, knowledge of the market, being a people person, and his single-minded pursuit of excellence.
