SUN VALLEY REAL ESTATE MARKET REPORT JANUARY THROUGH JUNE
SUN VALLEY MARKET JAN 1 TO JUN 30 The purpose of this report is to illustrate how the Sun Valley market has taken off since the pandemic hit the area in March of 2020. Understandably, the numbers for 2020 (second row in the charts) are significantly skewed due to the virtual shutdown of real estate for three months. The years of 2005 and 2006 are added for comparison’s sake, as they were the two most active years for real estate in Sun Valley history, prior to 2020. What has resulted, from about July 1 2020 through today, is a dramatic increase in demand, list prices, sales prices, multiple offer situations, and sales over list price. The questions on everyone’s mind are: • Will this amplified activity last? • Is this activity sustainable ? • How will this activity impact our community? These questions will only be answered in time. For now, here are the numbers.
