In May of 2020, business virtually came to a standstill. We will continue to see these percentage change numbers be very high for probably one more month, and then in July we anticipate that last summer’s record activity will bring some balance to the year-over-year comparisons. As we saw in April, May `21 was unusually busy for closed sales and sold dollar volume. May usually sees around $35-45M in sold dollar volume, and this year it was $76M+. Vacant land sales continue to run at an unprecedented pace. All of the figures—monthly and yearly—are absolutely unseen before. Hailey and Bellevue continue to the be most active markets; over half of the sales in May occurred in the South Valley. Valley-wide, there are roughly 75 Residential properties available (not under contract) as of June 1, 2021.
