If you haven't visited us before, walking into our showroom may feel a bit daunting - after all, noone likes being "pounced" on the moment they walk through the door. But most of our customers do need a bit more help choosing and ordering their furnishings, especially as the curtains, blinds or upholstery are unique to them and their home. This is why we are passionate about making our customers feel comfortable and looked after. So here's a brief introduction to our friendly and experienced showroom team - who also make lovely tea!! Ruth has been a member of the Sue Foster team since 2010. After a short break living and working in Dubai, she re-joined the team as Showroom Manager in 2014. As a trained curtain maker and Mum of 4 boys, Ruth is certainly never bored! Aimee joined our team in 2013, shortly after graduating with BA Hons in Interior design and decoration. Aimee has a passion for design and loves renovating old pieces of furniture. Her hoarding tendencies means she is also an excellent supplier of props for our window displays! The longest-serving member of the Sue Foster Team, Miggy joined us in 2007 after visiting us as a customer. With a degree in Fine Art, her previous home was featured in a leading interior design magazine. Miggy decides which collections we stock, and has an amazing knowledge of our extensive fabric and wallpaper sample books. Laura is the newest member of the team, having joined us in March 2015. Laura recently returned to her hometown of Emsworth having gained a BA hons in textiles design for Interiors at Bath Spa University. Marie joined us in 2010 as a Saturday Assistant, and was soon persuaded to work weekdays too! With help from the team, Marie is the brains and talent behind our amazing window displays and can often be found pinning, cutting and sticking fabric and wallpaper samples. Just don't ask her to do any origami!!

Industrial The Industrial look is the design concept primarily associated with converted factories and loft apartments. But if your home isn't blessed with high ceilings and bare brick walls, creating the look in any home is possible with a few key design elements. Choose metallic eect wallpaper which simulates corrugated iron or rusty metal sheets, and mix it with leather, velvet or heavy canvas. Scour car boot sales for authentic industrial pieces such as metal lights, tables and drawers the more bashed-up, the better!

WILD AT HEART

Putting a safari-themed spin on your room is easy with our range of beautiful Africa inspired fabrics and wallpaper. Gorgeous cut velvets in cheetah and zebra skin designs mix eortlessly with woven fabrics in geometric tribal patterns. For a more subtle safari look - make sure furniture and accessories are made with natural wood and bamboo and keep your colour palette earthy using reds, yellows and browns. Just don't forget your pith helmet!

Eastern Promise

This theme certainly isn't for the faint-hearted - bold patterns and colourful fabrics and wallpapers mix with ornate furniture and opulent decor. Go all out with a matching chinoiserie toile on fabrics and wallpaper for an Eastern extravaganza, or go for a more natural look with bamboo wallpaper, luxurious silks and laquer furniture for an authentic Eastern touch.

of Grey

Thanks to the recent novels by EL James, grey has certainly been given a radical new facelift lately. Probably one of the most popular colour schemes of the past few years, it is certainly standing the test of time, and proving it's anything but boring. Chic, elegant and simple, grey tones give a neutral scheme a modern twist. Choose greys on the warm end of the spectrum for north facing or darker rooms, and opt for a blue/grey palette for sunny, south facing rooms.

New Collections - Autumn 2015 Linwood are passionate about maintaining a classic English style, while introducing contemporary designs. Their latest collection, Arcadia, is no exception and celebrates the unique beauty of the English country garden. The collection features seven beautiful floral designs all printed on a luxurious linen mix cloth. Soft, muted colours of blue, neutrals, pink and green reflect an English country garden at its finest. Colefax and Fowler's latest collection presents 2 new design stories - The first is a beguiling blend of evocative prints and embroideries, and the second a sequence of sumptuous Italianate designs. Both collections are resplendent with beauty and the romantic eloquence of European influences. Co-ordinating velvets, weaves, checks and stripes come in a range of 22 stunning colours including amethyst, ochre, tomato, and chinchilla. The Casimir wallpaper range completes this exquisite design collection.

Tropical imagery gives this new collection of prints and embroideries by Jane Churchill an uplifting and joyful feel. The aptly named Samba collection is composed of light-hearted florals, artisanal abstracts, and stylised geometrics. Bold colours give these evocative fabrics a confident character as teal and red dance alongside orange, gold, amethyst and green.

Heavenly Stairway... Often neglected, the hallway and stairs are an integral part of a home's interior decor. We

were lucky enough recently to provide one of our customers with a gorgeous stair runner by Hartley & Tissier which transformed the space into something really special. Beautifully soft, thick and robust, this stair runner is perfect for areas of high wear like stairs and hallways. Our customer opted for a stunning diamond design in a lovely soft blue, which blended beautifully with white painted stairs and spindles and stripped wooden floor. These 100% wool stair carpets come in a standard width of 70cm, perfect for most stairs, but can also be joined for landings, or to make fitted carpets or free-standing rugs to whatever dimensions you wish. Woven and hand-finished in England, Hartley & Tissier carpets come in a range of beautiful designs and colours to complement any style of home or interior scheme. So why not pop in and browse through our samples and find out how we can help make your stairway heavenly!

Beside the seaside... We were recently asked to help furnish this gorgeous cottage in Bosham, packed full of character features and quirky windows. The owner wanted a scheme that complemented the coastal position of the cottage, without having an obviously nautical theme. The colour palette of fresh white, blue and grey, in soft checks and simple orals hit the brief perfectly. Although we couldn't resist including a seashell or two!!
