Animals of Africa Pastels

Culinary Mischief Pastels

Ahoy mates! Join us as we explore the world of pirates with new drawing adventures. Pirates, treasure maps, sunken treasures, parrots, a grand pirate ship and more will inspire us as we draw, using cartoon and realistic techniques. Kids love drawing our playful, expressive characters and will complete several drawings each day using our unique method. We will combine everything we learned for one large scene on the final day. Don’t let this ship pass you by!

Travel to the exotic African landscape this summer with Young Rembrandts. In this challenging 3-day pastel course, our students will illustrate majestic animals using pastel chalks. An antelope showcased within a mélange of patterns, a stylized zebra with a creative color palette and a regal lion are a few of the beasts to be explored. No experience is necessary.

Follow this surefire recipe for drawing success. Mix some playful domestic critters with a pinch of humor and stir it all up with an amazing pastel medium to create some “Can’t-believe-I-drew-this” masterpieces. Day 1 we draw a patternrich, poster-sized ice cream cone, triumphantly carried by a troop of ants. On Day 2 we catch (and draw) mice in the act of making soup. Day 3 we discover a spaghetti thief in our very own drawing! You won’t believe the results!
